Introduce yourself shortly.
Hi twister and fellow quakers! :) Im Andreas Dølbakken, a 25 year old filmstudent from Norway.

Tell us about your Quake career so far, and the mods you enjoy the most.
I'm an oldskewl gamer, introduced to Quake through my uncle during the 90s. I guess i have touched most FPS games, and played alot of different gameplay. But I have to say the duelformat combined with the skillrequirence and that unique balance quake(1,2,3....4?) has. It's no question where my heart belongs.

What are you biggest archievements in Quake (perhaps good players beaten) and what are your goals for the future?
Ive been a happy spectator of the competitive scene since q2, and never really engaged myself to take on quake seriously. So not many trophies on the wall, except a few local LAN wins. (quake and cs). QLranks is my only CV so far, hopefully in the future bigger names will be put up ;)

How would you describe your playstyle? And what areas do you think you have to improve on?
I can really be really aggressive, and often find myself in situations without a big armorstack trying to do surprisedmg from various stupid positions. When I'm in a good aimshape it's great success, but mostly I fail due to nerves and no brain. I like variation, so i adapt to +back passive railing when I'm outplayed by better players.
I need to be more patient, and improve my mappositioning.
And maybe invest in a gaming computer. I have been playing on a laptop for my whole QL-"career" :D

Right now we rarely see you on online tournaments such as ZOTACs, not to mention lans. Is that going to change in the future?
If I have enough time, I will play more cups like ZOTAC etc. I really enjoy watching tournaments so I might see myself attending in the future. Really inspiring watching so many talents!
If I'm gonna attend some big LANs like Qcon or Dreamhack, I will have to play and analyze my games a couple of months, which would be fun. I promised myself to attend atleast one big tournament in the future! :)

Looking at the current Rising Stars Challenge, how do you rate your chances? What is your prediction for the winner?
Hard to tell who wins, since I dont know much about the other players shape nowadays. So honestly no idea.

How do you like the current gameplay of Quake Live? Is there anything you would change?
Would be fun to see more maps and offline access to the games, so LANs would be easier to host. And fix CA to be more like the old RA3-mod from Q3a. Several arenas within one map and more voting options for players ingame. id software needs to listen and take more action on popular/smart ideas of the community if we are gonna see growth and continuance of the current quakescene.
Unless they are making some kind of new upcoming FPS!

Thanks for this interview! Anyone you would like to thank, or any final words?
I would like thank you for the invitation to this cup. So many players deserving my spot, but im honored to be playing.
Thanks to bollefro, zeun and rest of the norwegian quake community. And especially my uncle Speedio! without you guys i wouldnt have enjoyed quake;)
