Hey esr, I made this map in reflex called Parkourstation and it aims to teach movement to new players.

this is the map, there's a video in the first post even if it's a bit outdated:

I been "monitoring" new players and it turns out it helps them but it lacks of proper support, usually, without a coach you can't really figure some things.

There's lack of proper ingame support atm, the way the map is designed tries to ease the learning curve, notice that there's a bunch of easy tricks before circlejumping and strafejumping, but still, I can't add ingame messages for now unless I make LUA magic, that will be a waste of time.

However, when players understand what you can do with the map architecture and the physics it kinda changes the vision of how the game is played and how it works; i randomly encountered a youtuber who featured reflex thru this map and he was like "I'm pretty sure people will love this kind of game because movement is very nice". I was a bit confused but he also said he had no clue it worked this way. Here's the video:

My question is, at the current state of the map what would you do to improve the learning process?

hey guys, despite the fact gaiia fucked me in the last cpm masters final I've got like 150 $ for the 2nd place. I could add +100$ from my own pocket. So around 250 usd to spend in a monitor.

Any ideas quality / price ?

Obviously CPM is pretty much dead, but yesterday I was randomly watching IGN Pro League stream and SirScoots made a really good point which encouraged me to finally organize this tournament, he said something like “let’s not get into which game is more skilled or which one is cooler, if you like the game, support it, support the players and support everything around it”. It picks a map randomly, just press 0 in numpad and then 1-6 depending of the outcome. It's a nice way to practice the most played mappool. Have fun !

Some kind of cybercafe in Amsterdam, Stay Okay hostel is quite close to it, last time i was there it wasnt that expensive (21 euro/night). Apparently that cybercafe already hosted a sc tournament ( http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=125213 ) so i'll just need to contact the owner, etc...

Now we need to know when, probably summer 2013. What you think? (we should pick a date when most people can attend)

LOL ANYONE CAN COME TO THE MEETING, THE LIST WAS JUST TO POINT OUT THAT WE COULD GET A DECENT LAN WITH SOME OF THOSE PLAYERS : D
