Please tell me you've grown your hair back Jehar. I miss Lion Jehar.

Q2 = [+]
64 players Q2 = double plus

As a reminder this FFA event is open to the public, simply download Quake II Starter if you don't have Q2 already and show up at the scheduled time.

The server is currently up and running with city64 for anyone who wishes to connect and download the map ahead of time.

(use the in-game server browser to find tastyspleen::ts500, or paste the following command into the console: connect tastyspleen.net:27999)

Is anything else needed to play today?

A strong bladder.

count me out (lal)

ok everything is set up. I'll play,

For those non 'muricans, q2's netcode allows to realistically play with high ping, enjoyable too. It's doable to win with 150, no problem.

Or just get the pure quake2 (from a cd-rom, or at last get ISO file...) and install the last official patch (q2-3.20-x86-full-ctf.exe)... And get some new q2 client like r1q2, q2pro or "knightmare's quake2 v3.34". Done!!

Oh, and if you wish, you can get a new DLL file to run in openGL with better enhancements instead original file. Like openGL's NoCheat (a old q2 client), called "ref_ncgl.dll". Its so good as that of openGL's r1q2(ref_r1gl) cuz he can read cinematics files(.cin), celshading, brights...

Dammit i missed it who won need the info now!!

Kyper was the first player to reach 500 frags after 94 minutes of game time.

Here's some stats from the event: http://tastyspleen.net/quake/stats/ts500-frags-005.txt

I missed it :/

The server was maxed out, it was pretty cool. I had no idea how to play with 150 ping tho, almost no shots connected.

were there enough awesome shits happening to warrant a quick Highlights clip on the youtubes?

There's GOT to be a few interesting BFG multikills.

We need events like that in QL

zLive subscriber event???

Can we do 64-player server in QL?

i'ma try right now!

negative.

eburb: sync...sync...sync...

syncerror: WHAT!?! (read in the voice of Lana from Archer)

eburb: devmap Pro/Prem FFA?

Tell me a map you think would comfortably fit 64 players.

Hen House?
Black Cathedral, Distant Screams, overlord... and even those seem a bit small for 60 people.

Ask Despair.

one of those dm1/dm8 combos

what does comfort have to do with it? :)

Man I gotta be there, playing Quake II matches like this are the only way I can ejaculate.

shiiiiiiiiiit. missed it. when is the next one?

Let's make one of our own

I PLAYED IT! Man, was SO COOL, really!!! I never join in a server with more that 55 players to play FFA... :D

hope it will happen again so I can join in next time :D

Jehar were you talking to a ghost at 04:20 on the stream :o ?

Here is the winning player's POV: http://www.twitch.tv/kypertrast/c/4610213
