Anyone have a g100s and icemat combo? and if so, any issues with it?

only tried it for 5 minutes but it seemed to work fine (blue icemat)

Just wanted to confirm that it indeed works like a charm :) good mouse too, changed from G3, missing the side buttons a bit, but the sensor is waaay better.

doesn't work for me on my black Steelseries Experience I-2. My G100s skips at medium to high speeds. The malfunction speed is too low for low sens.

Hmm. that's odd. On that mousetest program (enotus or something) i hit 3.5m/s malfunction speed which should be good enough for low sens, i think. Mine is blue, though.

Jumping on the same boat as you. G100 don't work on black icemat. Puretrak Talent on the other hand, perfect for the G100.

The g400 works well on the icemat

my zowie ec2 evo worked on my yellow icemat although the LOD was almost non-existent(due to zowie custom lens). most mice will work fine, and LOD will always be lower.

icemat is obsolete though, there are much better surfaces available nowadays.

What surface do you have in mind? NOT that I'm advocating the icemat as I've never tried one!

artisan shiden or shidenkai(they're the same just 'kai' a little faster)
they have glass coating, the feel is closer to plastic pads not the icemat but they're fast enough imo, without the cons of either(plastic-> wears out like shit, icemat-> wears out mouse feet like crazy, cold and uncomfortable for hand, noisy, no feedback...)

I went from icemat to shidenkai, never looked back. 1.5 yrs now, can't feel that it's worn or anything tbh, mouse feet last a long time as well, at least 6-12 months.

Ppl claims it wears out :/

dunno, mine is almost 2yrs old(checked the date of order), can't feel anything that'd bother me. whereas my razer destructor(plastic) was unusable after few months - slow in middle, fast around the edges - absolute garbage.
