the best thing you can do is move on and be the best father you can be. its easier said than done but heartache from the split will blind you to the only thing that matters which is your child. there is a future where you and your ex can be civil. its a bumpy road with some difficult moments but put the child first and things will work out. try limit future regret by acting in the right way now. you may always have love for her but it can find its right place as care. good luck mate.

There must be more to it than that, especially with a kid involved.
Its tricky cos if you don't give her time she'll blame you for it, if you give her too much time, she might shag someone else.

If<< its really a case of you ignoring her on the PC, tell her you're going sell it and use the money to take them on a holiday.

If you've locked yourself away for hours playing quake in silence, I would imagine it feels pretty worthless for your other half.

If you wanna be really sneaky, tell her you have been doing freelance work on it for the last few months for peanuts to take them on big holiday, then get the money somehow to do it.

Go one further and tell her you have been paying in installments, that way, she'll have to deal with throwing a holiday away too. Sometimes you have to lie to get another chance.

Had not really the same problem, but nonetheless, went/made out with my gf's bff at that time. That shit cost me like 3 yrs to talk to her again and 5 yrs to meet her in person. So, basically, your situation is probably not as shitty as mine is/was (though I can't be sure ofc). Get your shit together, Tyrone; everything's gonna sort out. Just don't leave this fucked up situation on it's own. You have a fucking child, that stuff should hold you together(held my parents that way, when they were having rly rough time together).

Keep calm resist the temptation to go rambling on, keep your emotions in check and wish her well. Keep it short and sweet and remember to get across that calm feeling even if it kills you. That will at least give you a good starting point and the time and space to think knowing your last communication with her was not an emotional charged mess.
