I honestly doubt there will be enough signups if you consider how little it gets played. Even #dompickup can't produce any games.

Why do you cancel the whole tourney instead of changing the tournament format when you don't get the minimum amount of players?

You could just change it to one big croup (league style), king of the hill, swiss system, 2 groups with 3 teams etc. You have players who want to play, I doubt they really care how they meet their opponents.
