If the icemat is black, I cannot see why the DA 3500 would not work.

I don't own an icemat, though.
The DA performs very well overall on most surfaces.

I've got an Icemat, but I don't have the DA 3.5G. However, I do have a Salmosa so I can test that for you, but I'm 98% sure it's going to track fine.

I have white icemat and DA 3g does not work on it.
DA 3.5g has high lod so it might work on icemat.

Your wrong if u think that the most DA 3G's have a low LOD(even with newer FW).
I had alot here already, and the only one that had a low LOD with the IR-LED was my very first one, and if u compared it to the others, u could see that the light coming from IR-LED was weaker than on the others, so it might be even a little faulty one.
I just got another one for another kinzuadder, and again the LOD was high even after updating FW from 1.25 to 1.39.

Its very strange not tracking my 3G on icemat. Which is now Kinzuadder and it still does not track on icemat.

I believe icemat is 3mm excluding its feet. As usual its glass so it does not track on the top surface. It tracks the bottom layer of icemat.which will be 2 mm I think.

My Xai tracks beautiful on icemat without jitter or anything which has 2 mm LOD and my DA 3g doesn't track because it has 1 mm LOD.. anyway I am probably lucky to have better DA 3g :P

If it helps in any way, my G3 works on my Corepad Magna glasspad.

both the 3G and 3.5G are optical sensors and from my experience they do work with an icemat 2nd edition in black.

works on colorless ice mate and balck icemat here. (with no added mouse skates)

My DA 3500 works on my black Icemat.
It does reduce the LOD quite a lot, compared the cloth mats I've used it on, though.

yes indeed, i noticed it too.

I have both the 3.5g DA and a blue icemat and it works perfect. Stock feet too.

Lighter colors will probably have more difficulty tracking like the white and pink.
