Reverse is decent, Aerowalk and Backspace on the other hand are utterly crap.

I actually like Aerowalk, it's so different then any of the other maps in the pool. Though it could have been more awesome, in the beta there was a version that allowed you to spam through the teleporters.

Why is it possible on that demo/vod to see-thru-walls, which also appeared on a few other YouTube videos showing UT2004 demos? Tbh, it´s kinda annoying :/

Most UT moviemakers use a tool called RypelCam. Besides of slomo cam shots, different camera angles, etc. this is one of the integrated functions of it. It only works offline and in Demos.
For me, it makes watching the demos more interesting. Like, for example, being able to see what your opponent was doing and which routes he were taking when you couldn't hear him.
It probably comes down to your personal taste if you like it or not.

Ah, I recognize that program! The tool is good for deeper analysis and other nifty stuff.

But it disables the normal limitations from a normal players perspective and thus the thrill he experiences, not to know where the enemy may await! Combined with some shoutcast, it´s kinda dull, to hear the excitement of the casters, but then not being surprised at all, what is happening, because we see everything. And also the fast reflexes of the players are not presented as good, as they could, if that wall-thru-view would be disabled.
