I got a Kinzu when they were first released to try it out and have been using it since then up until now. It had a bit of mouse correction/prediction but it wasn't too much, certainly not any worse than a G1 so I kept using it, as I liked the shape and texture etc. and had no issues with the tracking.

Anyway a couple days ago I updated the drivers (1.0.1.10 -- I was using 1.0.1.08 before I believe), and it has totally fucked up the mouse correction. I've tried uninstalling the newer drivers and just installing the old ones but it persists.

See picture for what I'm talking about.

Anyway for anyone using one, don't update firmware/drivers! After using smaller mice for a while my 3.0 feels too big; time to get a 1.1.

I realised I was using the wrong brush while I was doing the Kinzu lines so I also did a few with the 1px pencil tool, you can see they're completely straight :/

Oh i know, I have a kinzu...... in a box somewhere. It does indeed have pretty heavy prediction with the latest drivers/firmware. It was just funny seeing the bad result bolded.

Don't steelseries always talk about how their mice are much better then all the other mice cuz theirs dont have prediction? Didnt they take a jab at logitechs mx series cuz they have prediction?

Its retarded that one of their own mice have prediction and it makes me ashamed of having a siberia headset. which happens to have shitty sound quality.

Not really. Look at the circles on the left picture. Since updating the firmware/drivers it angle-snaps much easier :/ I can record a demo in QL if you like, to show how similar it is to +left +right type completely straight movement.

Like I mentioned, I actually liked the mouse before I updated drivers. I'm not trying to go on some tirade, just letting people know not to update if they're still using an older version.

Kinzu is the best mouse i have ever used tbh :O The shape,weight and size suits me perfectly.Never had any problems with it and i use the latest drivers.I used a WMO and a mx518 before this one.

Im sure it has alot of flaws but it dosent bother me just because it fits my hand so perfectly.

All this coming from a guy who is all aim and no brain.So it cant be that bad ;)

I had to return my Xai (which I loved for the most part) due to breaking it and abusing warranty. They didn't have any left so I got the kinzu instead. The sensor feels really weird so far.. I think the prediction is really uncomfortable.

Anyone else having problems with the CPI switch? I cant use anything above 400 as it will fuck up my mouse totally (can barely move the mouse pointer then)

Get a wmo. It doesn't have side buttons or high dpi, but it's still perfect for quake.

the wmo switches get me rsi and i'd like it a little bit smaller. the intelli has a weird side, not very gripable and a bit too heavy.

i had the salmosa, didnt like it, it doesnt feel firm, maybe its due to the angle of the sides + its hollowness and it has gloss. the logitech mini optical feels very nice in comparison but not enough dpi and no windows 7 support. it works but some stated jitter on w7 and the mouseware does not work for it.
i like the logitech g3. maybe i get that but maybe the kinzu.

topic: i have seen someone with the 1.0.8 driver and he had similar prediction. many said kinzu works best on 1.0.7

I even emailed Steel about the Kinzu once and they told me it had no prediction. I mean, I use the EC2 so I have no trouble with prediction but intentionally lying to your customers is something else...
