This movie is a result of almost 6 months of on and off work, with "on most of the time" when vacations began. About 80% of that time was spent on going through over 550mb's of demos, yet - it was worth it. I couldn't just sit and look as some of these frags go to waste. I tried to keep it as serious as possible, but yeah how serious can it be if it's called 'afterspray' :), anyway I have to say I'm quite happy about the result, I hope you'll enjoy it as much. =)

- It's a fox skeleton.
- I actually was working on a matrix like effect, but after over an hour of work I realized that the result won't be convincing and I gave up on that.
-As for av3k, personally I find the lmao@poland jokes hilarious, but also I know that most of the polish guys, that also are part of our dear community, wouldn't like it, so I kept it serious.

But yeah, I agree about z4muz one, I'm not really happy about it.

Also, I know that the name tags are distracting. But I think that every frag movie needs something unique that will standout from all the other frag movies out there. It's something you can love or hate. It was a nice experience to make them, and it's probably the last time I did something like that in a movie, I don't want to be repetitive.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback

I always think of Cyrax from Mortal Kombat when I see Cyphers name. They sound similar enough and he's like a cyborg too, with his robotic precise aim.. Something like this would've looked cool. Maybe with his little belly bombs coming out when Cypher makes a nice nade kill. :P

Haha, that's a funny story. I didn't have an idea what to use as calipt's name tag, so I had a little chat with him on irc. He said that he likes wearing caps so a cap would be nice. So I googled it and a bunch of different caps showed up, I found this outstanding image and showed it to him as I found it funny, but I didn't thought about actually using it. He said he loves it and asked if I could shop his face into it and use it. And so I did ;)

btw, any chance of majoring? :x Dreams would come true, you know :)

Good fragmovie. Great logos for players, especialy i liked avek and strenx ones. Other also very nice, not to mention calipts :) Frags were maybe not that spectacular. I mean, great acc but these are not breathtaking as map long air rockets. Although they were made in serious competitions on the highest level players so i have nothink to say about quality. Keep up with good work!

Nice music, some nice logos, the frags aren't that impressive sometimes but I liked the plasma frags considering we often see only air rockets / rails in fragmovies.

some nice frags but it was soo distracting seeing their names flash up with icons, personally you should have collaborated each players frags together so you only had to show it once each rather then, cypher, cooller, rapha, zamuz, rapha, cooller, rapha, cypher zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz it would be ok like that if you didn't make that animation that I couldn't stop staring at.

This just demonstrates that QL really doesnt lend itself for making good frag-movies. If you compare that to Contenders, its just a bit boring. Sure there is lots of skill involved with hitting that much rail or lg, but its somehow just not very exciting to watch. Not your fault, guessing its the best you can make out of a game like this.

Nice choice of music tho.

I liked it.

Don't think you can compare those too, I mean, sure, the contenders was amazing.
The frags were fast and really hard, but these are all frags of a lot more 'consequence'.

These were done in a tournament setting with lots of prize money at stake.

Awesome vid. The music was something that you don't hear in most fragmovies and it was overall good, so I liked it very much. The idea behind the logos was brilliant and hillarious, so that's good as well. Also nice to see a Polish movie maker doing a major piece in the QL community.

Seen one too many movies with "your_favourite_metal_song.mp3" as soundtrack, without any (recognisable) thought.

Also, nice frags and pretty icons (although the first time I watched it I did look more at the icons than at the actual frags)

Actually it was only my English that failed me. It sucks to not have it as first language. I just wanted to make a joke regarding spraying and i thought anticlimactic was the opposite of climax (and only regarding the normal expectations watching a movie).
I just don't get it, why someone would start off with such a non sprayworthy frag in an otherwise decent frag movie :P

after 10+ years of playing and watching q3/ql I've kinda lost the "wow" feeling when it comes to the actual frags.

my jaw still drops when I watch a great play pay of with a frag or even a shift in control which can turn the game around.

thus, I like this movie more than most other frag movies. this shows not only great shots but also brilliant moves which really showcase the skill these guys have. and I also really like the first person POV without much gimmicks and stuff.

Looked great, well done, good quality etc etc etc

However, I closed it and felt a big fat giant fucking meh - because of the sheer factor that every long range rail on a whole five maps isn't a good frag, and that body shots are not good frags, LG tracking isn't unique by any means anymore, pillar shots are not good frags, and the fact they are tournament frags do not make them good frags, oh and did I mention that a movie with an entire five maps throughout the course of five and a half minutes is fucking boring as shit?

- The movie feels really "linear" and a bit dull. This is probably because of...
- Boring music, which leads to...
- Not enough syncing (or at least no memorable syncing, like Annihilation)
- Motion blur is, in my opinion, a compensation for low fps (like 20-30). If you have >40 fps, it shouldn't be needed

Overall: 5/10, mainly beacuse of big-name-frags

Luck didn't make him rocket jump backwards, and train the cross hair on where he anticipated the opponent would fall down to the shards.

There is a certain amount of luck, but there was enough premiditaion for me to appreciate it.

The whole play was just god like. You play smart enough for long enough and luck will turn your way. Its probability in my eyes.
