Movie posted -> this content cut -> movie reposted -> movie taken down due to cuts -> this post with the content aquired unedited.

We took down the movie because of comments, not due to cuts. People focused on the last few minutes instead of the interview overall.

No the movie was removed from ESR due to the fact that it was cut.

You cannot fix q4 because of it's engine sucks. The movement and the scaling is just better with the q3 engine.

Whats so good about +fwd +jump +left +shoot +right ? The movement in q3 is extremely simple, compare it with qw or cpma or ut it's by far the most simplistic movement there is in FPS gaming.

The thing that's kinda HARD to watch about this stuff? Is that nobody can expand their opinion more than "it's good" or "it sucks". Q4 has improved (thx, Q4max, PR 1.2).. but it still needs to get a little better before it's Q3 1.32c - level good...

Yet still, we just sat in digital lines waiting to see four guys say "it's good" and "it sucks". Come ON.. I guess being a pro gamer doesn't mean you can express yourself..

I mean: why did I just download that? It's the exact same conversation I'm having with the N00bs on my server..

You tell me, i'm just replacing the content that was previously cut from the interview. What dkt said is true though.. gamers want a good game, they all said what the majority of people think and they broached the marketing and perhaps why people like wsvg push gamings like q4 for the chips and so on. Also on a side note the creative XFI and id deal. It's a very frank and accurate appraisal of whats going on today.

I dont play q4 at all, but really, these guys seem right on the spot with their complaints about the state of esport today (the part of esport regarding the quake series + pk). To me, what they are saying makes alot of sense, kind of lame to censor this, since really the only reason I can come up with to do that is because someone didnt like the oppinions these guys expressed in these 7 minutes. If someone wanted the video to flow better, why remove the full one completely, instead of just adding the censored version as an optional DL for anyone who wanted a more "flowing" video.

Creds to these 4 people as well for actually stepping up and saying what they think of the game.

needs a new title - i've seen that title 3 times over - something to differentiate it from the previous interview, in the title, would b egood, because to be honest without reading the comments i didnt notice at first that this was even a different video..

ok, compare the 9.6 average for this video with the "edited" one's 2.something--the average person obviously appreciates honesty, not manipulation. i don't care if planetquake4 (Ultimatep specifically--go here for more info) doesn't want quake 4 to be bashed because he thinks the negative comments "alienate" the game within community. the entire POINT of bashing the game is to initiate a change for the better, not because whomever does the bashing is solely interested in the destruction of the community. if people remain silent about the problems, the developers will think everyone's completely fine with the current state of the game, become complacent, and then never again consider any changes that have to be made.

look at starcraft and world of warcraft over at blizzard: gamers still bitch and moan about gameplay issues, necessary new features, and integral adjustments so the game will become better, not because they have nothing better to do or are looking for the game to be downright killed. because of that bitching and moaning, starcraft--even after a decade now?--had an update about 6 months ago iirc. and WoW--though blizzard makes a ridiculous amount of money with it and could easily sit on their ass and not give a shit about gamers--keeps receiving new content and fine-tuning.

leaders of major sports do the same thing in regards to issues of public concern: addressing the steroid problems in major league baseball and the anti-doping investigations in cycling, for instance, aren't done for better PR; the associations conduct those investigations for the betterment of the game, even though, in the short term, they're tarnishing the public image.

kudos to Levi for airing the true comments and to the four gamers for addressing the concerns in a blunt but honest fashion.
