The tricks and music in this movie are great or even fantastic :) my jaw dropped more than once or twice I can tell you.

Best movie since "Progressive trick jumping" movie

Best trickjumping movie out yet, incredible job. I'm amazed there were so many trickers contributing to the vid yet none seemed any better than the other. They all were top-notch trickers with top-notch tricks. Camera angles set this movie apart from any other. A minor gripe is the use of realistic yet extremely buggy shadows. Should have used the crappier but bug-free shadows. Also the vid seemed dark to me. Anyone else have this problem or should I just adjust my monitor settings?

No problems here. Start fiddling with your brightness :)

Wow! Amazing movie, definately the best trickjumping movie I've ever seen (Sorry Japex, but you're still my number 2). Nice camera and editing in this movie, and the choice of music is excellent in my opinion. Also, it's good to see a little CPMA movement implented. Funny ending as well :) A shiny 9 from here.

the wrap around dm9 trick was my favorite, nice and simple but so classy :)

tribulation and the badge2 are tied for second, but this is definitely first in all time tricking vid.

I haven't worked on team tricks but will try to do so in the future. Trib2 is well in the works, all demos have been recorded and editing has started. A teaser should be out soon. I'll have to spend tons more time than I had originally planned to make it as or maybe even more impressive than this vid :O)

Question from a non-quaker: are these jumps used in matches also?

these jumps are used only if it is of great advantage in a particular situation during a match. A weapon assisted jump has in general the disadvantage of decreasing your ammount of health. But yeh its common to see some serious cool jumps in cool demos.

dudes. I mean...dudes. It was "OMFG"'s, "WTF"'s, and "DAYUUUM"'s, all the way through.

pretty nice, but falls well short of tribulation, because its music selection simply doesn't do the tricks justice. what we hear is bottom-of-the-barrel drum n bass, ill-timed in relation to the tricks themselves. 1) use good dnb 2) and time it with the pictures for great effect :)

Hm... I thought it sucked, nothing personal but the jumps in there are 90% regular rocket or double rocket jumps. Some grenade jumps or just strafe/plasma jumps.. pretty much ordinary stuff for the 1st 13 minutes I almost fell asleep. Maps that were used in there are also boring... trickjumping maps that are designed for that type of shit, not really innovative. Didnt get to see any new 'wow' jumps on maps we regularly play. The soundtrack didnt help any either. There was ONE jump that was wow, that was the last quad rocket jump.. that was NICE. 3/10

What i'm not allowed not to like it now? Fuck off. If you go see a movie and you end up hating it, does the producer ask you if you can make a better movie? if not dont criticize? Think before you post. So i didnt like it.. big deal not everyone is looking for the same things out of trickjump movies. Loading a trickjump map, with lots of ledges and open spaces, and then going hm..... there is a ledge here and there, I KNOW i'll grenade rocket jump to it and put it in a movie doesnt impress me. However seems like 99% of all you guys loved it so it must be just me, keep up the good work.

I'm not a big fan of this movie either, I think it went on for too long and I started getting zZzleepy

The only trick-movie I've seen that is equal (in some ways even better) to Tribulation. This is sheer class, made me LOL several times. And that last 2+2 (or was it 2+3?) RJ is something to tell your grandchildren about.

I just love these trick-nerds.

Yeh just watched progressive trick jumpin again and i just dont think the tricks were quality enough compared with this. I do remember watchin it when it first came out and thought it rocked, but standards have just gotten better.

Japex movie got me into Quake actually. I only played UT, I've always thought Quake3 sucked. But after seeing Japex vid I just HAD to try out Quake.

yeh, they have gotten better, but there is always something about the early trickers that is really appealing, i cant figure out what it is. But imo they are better :)
