i hope that after this event, WCG will see that its the classic esport games that really get the crowd going and not all those rubbish games they decided to include to try and broaden the appeal (which failed)...

I don't think they do it to broaden the appeal, I think the are payed by the phone/app maker to feature the game. Have to do somethng that pays the bills.

Even better was the boast that they had 7 million viewers watching the stream of the CS final... which you know would be great except it literally died and had to be reloaded over and over every five minutes by me and everyone else I spoke to who was watching it. So basically one of the best finals matches ever most of the audience saw maybe 50% of at most.

Amazing timing from id Software releasing Doom Classic on iPhone this year. Looks like it has high chances to be included into WCG 2010 games list after all.

A guy I know ran national qualification in that iphone game for our country just so he could win it and go see WCG.

For an average person who is not really into gaming it's both the same, CS champions who've been praccing for years and played an awesome final match and some faggot who won n some mobile phone game...
