We are happy to announce our first Quakelive Duel Cup hosted by spontangames.de community site. There has been alot of interest in this cup, that's why we decided to expand the player limit to 32 players. The final cup date is planned to be on 15th Feb, this Sunday. Around 10:00 CDT all players should gather in the #spontan.ql channel on IRC Quakenet and get ready to rumble!

If single elimination then plz make Best of 3 and Finals Best of 5. Bo 1 and SE sux.

dont really like the change to bo1, would have rather stretched the cup to 2 days or just kept it at 16players
and thats mostly because i suck and would have enjoyed 3 games more than one against some of the better players that are propably going to sign up now ;)

this is still in discussion, head over to forums on spontangames site, and post your comments , if enough ppl agree and think we could finish a 32 players cup with bo3 till final then i will be happy to change it.

by the looks we will make bo3 , and bo5 final, sadly tough i would go for 64 ppl cup but its abit too much, so we will stick to 32 people, and make all the rest sub! But dont worrie, i know many ppl wont show, so subs will be needed! stay tuned

czca2 could be added to the map pool
we should embrace every change we can get to the map pool
qzdm13 just doesnt play well in ql and is absolutely not on the same level as pro-nodm9 in q3, so out wiht it imho

No, I hate both maps, but when in comes to a preference, I'd like to have dm13 :p

But anywas, holding a tournement for a closed beta game is lol, because the general quake player base is anyways excluded of this happening which sucks.
