CPL UK took place yesterday at Gamerbase, London. This was the last chance for players to qualify for the CPL Grand Finals, also being held at Gamerbase, on February 27 and 28, 2008. The games, as always,

No, they fucked around with the rules, got only 180 signups and made its a $100,000 tourney.

Considering each participant paid ~$350 it makes that prize pool even less impressive.

Their original $1,000,000 would have required far larger sums of 'free money'. Unless of course they received 4,000 sign-ups.

My point isn't/wasn't that $100,000 is a small amount of money, it's that the tournament was ill conceived and woefully executed.
