awesome, i always hated trying to work out qw HUDs and cfgs, sounds like this a big step forward for qw :D

2 screenshots:
hud editor with mouse support
detailed menus with mouse support

demos and maps can be associated with the EZQuake.exe so they can be opened by double-clicking them.

my favorite: you can click a QTV link in your web browser to connect to a QuakeTV stream with EZQuake.exe.

also command lines aren't required anymore.

That's true. Remember, Quake was released back in 1996 and i guess a mouse driven menu haven't been that much of a priority. The changes made before have been made to enhance gameplay or visuals, which maybe is the biggest mistake in QW as it WAS hard for newbies to setup the game. :)

is ezQuake the Quake 4-Q4Max / Quake 3-CPMA for Quakeworld?
ezQuake is a replacement to the original qwcl.exe, so kind of. It's just that ezQuake isn't a complete mod like CPMA, but rather an enhanced client (ezQuake.exe) you use to play different mods.

If you want to try out this stuff, then you can read my guide in the QW forum (which basically says download fQuake). fQuake is a QW package based on the shareware Quake. All you would be missing is some maps, which you can get from your original Quake CD.

so does fquake use the ezquake client? just curious because i thought only fquake was still being updated but its more of a package than a new qw client based on fuhquake

fQuake uses ezQuake, yes. Both the fQuake package and the ezQuake client are still being developed too. We ain't dead quite yet!

This is great!!
Anyone should give quakeworld a try, i think its has the most active team deathmatch scene of any off the quake or unreal series.

I used to play quake3 for years, and always looked on qw as kinda old and never gave qw a real chance, until like 2 years ago when i tested qw for real, like making a proper cfg and tweaking everything. Now i never can go back to q3, qw is just much more fun and challinging. And the feel is unbeatable.
Just so sad that so much ppl miss out on it, becouse for a lot off ppl, quake3 was theyr first hardcore deathmatch 1on1 or 4on4 game, and they never looks twice on qw.

Awsome changelog. Big cred to qqshka and the other ppl coding for ezquake.

yepp.. fragging in QW has a hardcore feel to it.
fragging in Q3 is sort of bland and devoid of any significance.. like stabbing a rubber doll with a blunt knife.
