Anyone knows if rapha or evil ever did a demo analysis or comments/interview where they explained their thought process during these games?

Sarge model fix? (9 comments)
Posted by Crotazzo @ 08:34 CST, 6 November 2015 - iMsg
When in a duel server, every now and then you see the enemy as sarge... how can that be fixed? old fixes like clearcvar and vid_restart are not working anymore.
Voting a new map sometimes works sometimes doesn't work.

And also yesterday i got unpure client, invalid pk3 when trying to join a "bluerun" duel server. Im suscribed to the map pack workshop.

Thanks in advance

Hi, here is a compilation video of the first 30 seconds of (almost) every dreamhack winter 2013 games.
This videos are intended to analyze how the pros play each spawn.
There is no video or sound edit, just raw information.
Only LOST WORLD left!!!!!! Enjoy!

BTW: Bloodrun and Furious Heights have shitty quality. I will uptade them after all maps are added.

"The first 30 seconds of a game are extremely crucial as it allows you to have a huge weapon/positional advantage over your opponent. Although most people tend to play it in a very safe manner splitting everything with their opponents, this is the time of the game where a big opportunity to go aggresive and get massively rewarded is very very clear"
by Ins Portugal

"The start is very important cause it sets the pace and standard of the duel, quite often if you make the correct moves off the start and the other guy doesnt, then the next stage of the duel (the middle) becomes a lot easier, because your opponent doesnt have either the stack or guns to fight you effectively, so you can either rack up the frags or at worst be in an advantagous position post start!"

TO DO: I will update the video thumbnail so it reflecs wich spawn is it. Also i will upload every map played (only lost world left!!). Fix quality for bloodrun and furious heights using new 720p config.

Would this be considered a cheat? (99 comments)
Posted by Crotazzo @ 17:05 CST, 23 January 2014 - iMsg
Hi, i made an external application that shows 2 aditional clocks that are 25 and 35 secs away from the game clock (i start my app manually when the game is about to start). The only purpose is to not do the clock math in my head after picking up an item.
In the example i show that if i was picking up an armor at that time it will spawn at 30 and if i picked up a mega it would spawn at 40 (i know the colors are wrong).

Would this be considered a cheat?

Analyzing demos (30 comments)
Posted by Crotazzo @ 09:26 CST, 30 December 2013 - iMsg
Hi, im a n00b to quake live that's starting to duel and trying to improve. After practicing a little with my aim im now trying to improve my ingame thinking. While playing i often notice the mistakes i make or the battles that i should have won didnt go my way, but as you have to "keep breathing" i dont have time to really point the mistakes i made. So, basically what im asking is:

1. How to playback demos (i downloaded wolcam but it seems to be configured for moviemaking, not analysing.) should i use this or other playback tool? anyone has a good config to analyze demos? Usefull commands?

2. Any tips that help me notice my mistakes? Any tips to notice what i shuld have done? (might be very sugestive answers)

3. Should i try to analyze pros demos (like avek here http://www.esreality.com/post/2486828/raffer-vs-evil-qcon2013/ ) or i should stick to watching vods + on the fly thinking like Fraze videos? (remember im a noob, so analizing pro demos i probably miss 70% of whats happening)

Any other advices?

thanks!!
