Proof of poor sensor performance (65 comments)

For everyone who was demanding proof in this thread: http://www.esreality.com/post/2675014/3366-is-quite-over-hyped/

We now have a way to see this, using microe's mouse tester program: http://www.overclock.net/t/1535687/mousetester-software/0_50

The FinalMouse is the only sensor I've used that has matched the MLT04 as far as accuracy & responsiveness is concerned. So lets take a look at what its graph looks like: http://www.overclock.net/t/1531877/finalmouse...t_23387430

Now lets look at some comparisons I did after detecting some tracking issues in game: http://www.overclock.net/t/1531877/finalmouse...t_23464299

Now keeping in mind how much the (somewhat minor in comparison) deviation shown there made a significant difference in game, lets look at the graphs of the g502 and FK1 (both of which I previously said were shit, with the 502 being somewhat less shit):

FK1: http://www.overclock.net/t/1500615/zowie-fk1-...y-ino/0_50

g502: http://www.overclock.net/t/1481639/logitech-g...y-ino/0_50

See how much they deviate from the line?

P.S. - This isn't perfect, as the graph doesn't really show how the mouse feels ingame (IE: the deviations on the FM graphs were evidence of a different feeling/problem vs what was felt with the other mice). But it does give us some evidence of flaws we can feel while playing.

Many thanks to Microe for his program, and Ino for his screenshots.

3366 is quite over hyped (304 comments)

I just wanted to make this post because I've seen people in BST's threads singing the praises of the 3366. I expected more out of a competitive gaming site.

I reviewed the mouse here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ2riVNLJly0KG7Z8albMETEmbRB8bCzd along with most other 3310 mice.

I've used a ton of mice over the past 10 years. Almost all non-MLT04 mice have some kind of "smoothing" feel (which is likely caused by a few different factors such as input lag/click latency, and artificial processing of mouse movement) to them. The 3366 has it too, just maybe to a slightly less degree than it's most recent predecessors.

However, the KPM had the least and felt significantly more precise, and snappy.

EDIT: wow... I feel like I'm talking to a bunch of people trying to sell mice rather than fellow competitive gamers...

I can't believe how many people on here don't know about this... I know I've seen it talked about on this site.

Most forums have an option where you can subscribe to a thread and get emails when new messages are made. I can't seem to find an option like this for ESR. Is there one?

I have a lot of really nice frags but I'm not good with effects so I'm looking for someone who likes to make movies and just needs good frag clips!

Here are some examples of past frag clips of mine:
