Hi there,

one month ago my xl2411t started showing static:

I fixed it by replacing the capacitors on the power pcb.

Since that happened to a couple of friends as well, i made a quick replacement guide
here.

How to fix damaged electrolytic caps

Symptom: after monitor’s splash screen, image is totally distorted.
At start, the issue solves itself after seconds or minutes,
then it persists until the screen can’t even turn on.

Changing mouse shell (6 comments)

Recently I've put my hands on a CM xornet mouse.
Its sensor/electronics is pure sh*t (negative acceleration and jitter), but its shape perfectly fits my hand.
I would like to put a good mouse electronics inside xornet shell (and, if successful, make a small guide).
Did anyone do something similar? Any hints?

Reopening of ITA ESL Quake Live section! (13 comments)

After 2 years of inactivity we managed to reopen the Italian ESL Quake Live section!

In order to celebrate this event, we're organizing a Duel Cup and a 2v2 Clan Arena Cup for all Italian Quakers.

Registrations are opened until 13:00 CDT, 17 June 2012. Prizes will be ESL premium/QL pro accounts.

Cups will take place in the whole succeeding week, so prepare your ammo and get ready to frag!

Quake Live ITA servers. (43 comments)

That's it. After 2 *long years, IdS team managed to bring back italian QL servers.
First feedbacks are very positive: lots of IT players logged in and are crowding quake again, thanks to ~ 20-60ms ping reduction. Also neighbouring players (FR, CH, AUT) seem to obtain some ping benefits.
