The Cyber Sports Network is excited to announce their partnership with this year's QuakeCon Event as the official BYOC Competitions organizer. Cyber Sports Network will offer participants of the QuakeCon event an organized and competitive structure of tournaments. This year's QuakeLive Open Duel Tournament will be organized and ran by the Cyber Sports Network and will include over one thousand ($1,000) dollars in cash and prizes to the top three finishers. Additionally, Origin has offered a gaming laptop valued at $2,895 for first place.

Along with the Quake Live Open Duel Tournament, the CSN will offer participants several other competitive options, including a Heroes of Newerth event with over $1,000 in prizes, full BYOC and QuakeCon coverage and media content, and an Event-ending raffle for a prize package worth over $300. Game titles included in this year's BYOC competitions are; Quake Live Freeze Tag, Quake Live CTF, Quake Live FFA, Quake 4, Warsow, Team Fortress 2, StarCraft II, Call of Duty 4 and HaxBall. QuakeCon participants will be encouraged to submit additional tournament ideas for the CSN staff to structure and organize, making use of the CSN website and tournament system.

All Cyber Sports Network tournaments will be free to join for QuakeCon participants and specific prizes for all events will be determined during the event. The CSN looks forward to providing the participants of this year's QuakeCon an opportunity to compete in organized tournaments and events.

Recently, Joel "Nude-fox" Fox met up with the current QuakeCon 2010 Amateur Champion and upcoming North American Duel Pro, ziel. Fox asked him about his humble start, his experience as a new pro dueler and what he expects out of life and his competitive chances at this years 2011 QuakeCon.

Ziel touches on his role as the 'new North American pro', his passion for learning and playing the drums and so much more. The questions are good, but the answers are better! Well worth the read.

The Cyber Sports Network Everyone Must Die duel group stages are over, and the final single-elimination bracket begins this Sunday, 19:00 CDT, 5 June 2011! The group stages ended with some surprising results.

Sparks took down

ZeRo4 to take first place in group A. Sparks is surely happy about this because now he can avoid

rapha's half the bracket entirely while ZeRo4 has to play rapha in the quarterfinals.

dkt, taken out in the group stage by up up-and-coming duelist

ziel, did not advance to the finals. And after a three-way tie in Group B, the matches were replayed, eliminating dark-horse

This Wednesday,20:00 CDT, 18 May 2024, Cyber Sports Network will be kicking off the third of four duel qualifiers in the Everyone Must Die Quake Live Duel/TDM Series. The top four players from each qualifier continue on for a chance at the $1,200 prize pool.

Reminder TDM Signup's are still OPEN - Post your roster in this Thread. Official registration will open and the event will get underway once at least six teams have signed up.

North American TDM is back! Team Deathmatch has taken a back seat to Duel recently, but the Cyber Sports Network is set to make some changes with the Everyone Must Die $2,200 Duel and TDM Cup series!

Classic 4v4 Team Deathmatch is back with a bang, boasting a total prize pool of $1,000 USD, which will hopefully ensure the participation of America's best! - who knows which classic players may dust off their mouse mats and mount a TDM comeback? If TDM�s not your thing, there�s even more personal glory (and cash) to win in the Everyone Must Die $1,200 USD Duel event.

rapha has been cleaning up the duel competitions as of late, but

ZeRo4 and

CZM have been quickly regaining their old form, and up-and-comer

ziel poses a larger threat with each cup.

The prize pools are larger than any North American event in recent memory; will this be enough to bring back other top-NA duel talent such as DaHanG, Vo0, chance, dkt, and griffin? What teams will form to compete in TDM? We hope this event will spotlight the very best players in the QuakeLive scene!
