QuakeCon 2009 Gets Supercharged with the Ventrilo Ultimate Power Up Sweepstakes!

Winner Takes Off in New Ford Shelby GT500 Coupe!!

Ventrilo, the premier group voice communications program used in tournaments and multiplayer games, is ready to blow the doors off of QuakeCon 2009 with the sponsorship of its annual "QuakeCon Ultimate Power Up" Sweepstakes. One extremely lucky attendee will rocket away from QuakeCon 2009 in a brand new supercharged 2010 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 Couple, valued at approximately $52,000. The 14th annual QuakeCon will be held at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas from August 13 - 16, 2009 and is open to the public and free to all attendees.

A total of 100 tickets for the Shelby Mustang GT500 drawing will be awarded to QuakeCon attendees for everything from performance in the QuakeCon Pro, Open and Quick Draw Tournaments, to participation in other QuakeCon contests, events and random drawings. The winner will be randomly selected at 9 p.m. (Central Standard Time) on Saturday, August 15, as part of the tournament finals event on the QuakeCon Main Stage.

Additional information about contest rules, eligibility, restrictions and requirements will be available at www.quakecon.org.

Fatal1ty to compete again? (102 comments)

I watched an interview fatal1ty gave earlier this month and he talks about getting back into gaming. Right now he's "looking around" for a good 1v1 game to compete in (dunno what else is out there other than quakelive). This is looking more likely now that the CGS is shutdown.

Since ESR is so screwed and I can't reply to your thread, here ya go:

Man, you sound so stupid. if you think you're so damn good at quake, why don't you just show everyone? Every time the opportunity arises to prove yourself you back down into a web of lies. You're a nothing who gets his ego-fill for the day from a dying shitsite. Z4, rapha, and all those who take the time to practice to prove themselves are leagues ahead of you. You're the only one who doens't seem to realize that.

This event was chalk full of all-stars. The Americans seemed to get screwed in a few different aspects of the tournament, especially groups and lack of coverage. Being knocked out by av3k is nothing to be ashamed about seeing how he's the defending champ in q4 (which i know is not q3, but close enough for a pro-gamer). Z4 played extremely well and I don't give a shit about what you say, you could not have done any better. If you're as good as you say you are, you should have gone for the money & glory, that would have been the logical thing to do. Instead you don't care about using your talents for your benefit, and would rather work harder to earn money. Which backs up the fact that you're stupid.

Keep saying that you're better than everyone else. If thats what keeps you from killing yourself, so be it. But secretly lusting over other peoples' success and turning it around to try to make yourself look good is just low. You're a nothing and will always be a nothing when it comes to quake until you prove yourself... which we all know by now won't happen anytime soon.
