Quake 3 Defrag - FPS Cup 02 Movie (1 comment)
Posted by Nosf @ 10:24 CDT, 7 June 2025 - iMsg

FPSCup 02 was a series of defrag tournaments, it was held throughout winter 2024. While writing this text, the third iteration ended recently.

FPSCup 02 have been organised by Rain and had an amazing output regarding maps. The participation was huge and the trickjumping community produced lots of astonishing runs. The cup was divided into 7 rounds and afterwards all points had been summed up. The video includes the demos of the round winners.

A huge thank you from the whole FPSCup team for participating!
Now, Enjoy!

running out of WMO's, alternative? (4 comments)
Posted by LOLatRoflexTimers @ 20:05 CDT, 3 June 2025 - iMsg
Back then I bought a number of WMO's, it was never clear to me if they were legit or chinese knockoffs, anyway, the last one seems to not be picking up some mouse2 clicks. What would you buy that has a similar feel? I've already read about the Gamesense MVP, but some people said it's not quite it. Another one mentioned has been the OP1 from someone here, claiming it's a flatter version and has the best sensor in the market. It seems too small. What about the XM2? Another option, Lanzu Maya X. In any case, im willing to hear if im missing something. I trust people here to know what the f*ck they are talking about unlike sub-quake so called "gamers" on reddit et al.

i don't think so, he has never been a top player. the only reason he got hyped is because he won that cpl tourny against noobs.
so you expect a top3 placing or even first place?

Maybe you're thinking of some other Jibo?

czm = noob in your book, I suppose...?

or maybe cooller?

Yeah, those nubs from CPL winter that one year, no one remembers.... :-\ Never thought I'd see a swede who knows even less about Quake than I do!

i mean jibo looks hot and if i'm wrong i'll tell u "i was wrong" but don't tell me nike is better then cooller in shape?
By Nuke Explosion raithza  - Reply to #115
Jibo is definitely looking hot... one of top contenders at masters imo...

The point wasnt necessarily that nike is better than cooller, the point was that jibo beat nike quite easily (on ztn at least), even though nike beat cooller and won eswc qual russia recently. So dont underestimate razerj :D

dongjin has played extensively in the US. he used to be a regular on the Team Empire server where all of the czm/zero4 demos come from. thing is, he was never even a middle tier player by anyone's standards, which puzzles me. unless he goes and poisons everyone else at the event, i can't see him winning a single map off of anyone.

I wouldn't expect much from him unless he's improved 100 fold...he was about as bad as you can be...probably like the korean version of skittz

A slav tipping another slav for the win. My its like Eurovision all over again.

People have a real short memory around here, the only justice is they have a habbit of spamming their opinions on forums, so I get to highlight them then sit back and watch time do the talking.

No one will beat CZM at this event. The only one that can beat an inshape Cooler is CZM and the only one that can beat an inshape CZM is Cooller. At the finals both will be in good shape.

fooki > czm (in shape) @ QLAN2.
czm never beat an in shape cooller either. ESWC 2005, czm was at the top of his game and lost to a cooller who hadn't practiced hub3aeroq3 at all and generally didn't look as good as in 2003.

nike, evil, enemy, nobap, k1llmas are all capable of pulling top5 too.

thats bullshit. its easy to say youre out of shape when you lose. cooller playing badly leading czm 13:2 on dm6? leading 21:20 on hub, playing his best hub ever? yeah, that could really happen.

repeat. bullshit.

was pretty horrible compared to the effortless form of 2003/2004

I had the same thing doubting between fox / czm.
but I'm euro.... and I'm even a whining euro with USA < EU!
But either way I would want czm to win it ;)
But fox actualy deserves it more imo.
reason why I picked czm is just because it means czm end higher than rapha which would hopefully turn rapha into a (trainings) monster in QL, which in turn would help raise the USA level a lot :)

CPL Italy was small, yes.

And I guess you are talking about an ESWC qualifier? Which isn't exactly a big tournament.

Fox is an awesome player and really deserves to win a big one. But so far he always choked at some point. That's all I'm saying.

I'm kind of torn between my love for both czm and fox but if I have to choose then let it be czm over fox in the grand final :)
