I always love defrag videos. Mainly I think it's because whoever designs most of the defrag maps has a very good sense of colour, knows what looks good beside what, and understands that sometimes less IS in fact more, where design is concerned. Most of the time, there are definitely some that I'd rather not have to ever look at again... ever, please. I wish more maps would take queues from the Defrag style.

Although I found my mind wandering off to other places somewhere around the middle of the movie and I struggled to pay much attention again.

The lack of in-game sounds, combined with very monotonous music really left me feeling sleepy, which is kind of odd, considering it was a cpm defrag movie...

Normally I don't make it till the 10 minutes mark with these types of movies but this one kept me hooked till the end. Awesome runs and nice editing.

Worth a download for sure.

ps: the colours on that funny bunny map near the end with blue, red, green and BLACK. That was some crazy shit to follow :D

No i didn't because i don't want to install more crap on my machine, i already have about 5 media players for different formats, and i really do not want another one.

watched it but i had overestimated this here.. ofc gq3 was a much longer project, so i shouldn't have expected it's heights. It was nice in parts, but I was, as MassMan said, struggling to pay attention most of the time because of the monotonous sounds.. this movie looked kind of rushed and unfinished to me, especialy because i've been watching Speed Trial by arleksey lately. ;p

i loved it. Amazing skillz on some highly imaginative maps. brilliant work!

levi pal, what media players do you have? uninstall a few, then playing the movie in vlc player is how i do it now. I was getting problems also.

I am having big problems with mirrors....they never stay up, nothing can handle the bandwidth except filefront and no one likes that host....would love to have a levi link, i can upload the xvid version to you if you want. [email protected] or on irc #shaolinproductions ..tell me where.

The music does a lot (<3 jrb)

Some people said editing was too light, I prefer that way instead of heavy "effect for effect" editing in Speed Trial for example.
No need for fancy effects when runs/tricks are nice tbh. The relative simplicity of this movie makes me like ;)

wow - never posted on here b4 but had to chip in and say this movie was a work of art.

Great defrag runs, with great production - I love the choice of music except perhaps the hybrid track. There are two simply breathtaking parts in the video (music synced) that I just keep playing again and again (3:42-4:24 and leading up to and including the climax which is 13:10) it was insane - shame the defrag run didnt last longer haha

Props to fei - this one really gets across the ideology and mastery of q3
