Nah, most does not.. It differs alot tho, some have good to DK som to SWE som to UK, some to all.. But 1.5 years ago i had around 22ms to swe with same isp :[

but most oslo and eastern southern region people should ping no more than 25-30 to sweden.

Routingtables changes over time, for several reasons. traceroute and drop an email to the owner of the node before it goes in an obvious wrong direction. It's most probably an old path that died/dropped packets/unstable, node decided to pick another, and it got permanently changed as that, since it was more "stable" than the one before or something. Automatic scripts that aren't much concerned about ping-sensitive internetusers (read: gamers) I guess :P
had the same problem for 2 years ago with some hosts in .nl, they were routed via usa even, +100ms. sent them an email and in a few days it was fixed.

Hah, reminds me of a couple of days in a row where the WHOLE routing from France to Barrysworld league servers in the UK was FRA->USA->UK.
All the teams got a free postpone if I recall correctly. This was like 3 years ago or something.
The route to Jolt (same place) still fucks up once in a while, going through holland, sometimes even going to UK first before that :o
