you can even find rooms with 2 beds for about 29E per night, even though i dunno where they are located around paris. Go for chain hotels like "Formule 1" or even better "1ère classe", not too fancy but very clean and you got tv n stuff :>
btw, don't ever try to spend a night in a cheap little hotel inside paris: did it once, learned my lesson :|

well i was going to uni in paris in 1999 and i still had to find an appartment... I had to find a place to stay for a couple of days so i could get my incription to uni, get all the papers sorted etc.
I found this room in front of the train station that leads to the town i live.
I dunno what was worse: the price i had to pay? (can't remember it atm but i remember it being a total rip off) The overall lack of hygiene? (slept onto the bed but i had to forget the way it was, the humidity that made the wallpapers fall and everything smelled weird) maybe the employee that seemed to enjoy treating ppl like shit?

Ill tell u: be very carefull about where you're going to stay, unless its a chain hotel... except if you're rich and you can afford a 120E/night hotel :/

Lol, 120 Euro hotels are not for the rich, just those who dont want fleas.

i can live about 1 month with 120e. Everyone isn't as classy as u, obviously. Some ppl even have to struggle to get a descent life.

Im exagerating it a bit cause atm i got two cars (selling one these days if everything goes well) and these cost a lot. When i was in paris i spent less than 6E/day. Ate once a day, never bought any cds or stuff like that. I really wanted to buy a nice minidisc player at that time, so i worked as a babysitter in the richest area of paris; still i made about 5.50e/hour.
Spending 120e/night in a hotel doesn't make you "classy" (maybe thats why you courageously edited your post :D) afaik. Spending more doesn't always mean that you will get a better quality, and when i said he could get a 30e/night hotel, i meant a descent one of course.

well i have same problem as you rogue ... need to find some cheap accommodation in paris :x
