Quake 3 kind of, I've played it casually lately, but I wish I'd played it competitively earlier on.

I only just began though, with Battlefield 1942. Sure, it's a good romp and a great team game, but it doesn't qualify as an e-sports game.

I've been picking up the ropes in Starcraft lately, watching replays and such. I mean, personally I suck more than anyone at the actual game, but the theory I'm good at. Basically same motivation behind installing Quake 3 - just want to see how it's done.

QW I think is a bit too late, and Tribes 2 is basically dead, so I missed those. I think everyone who came in late wishes they had participated in the games that set up the e-sports scene instead of just picking up where the old legends quit.

i played Netquake(standard quake1, when i was like 12) and i wish i had of played QW

kingpin: d/l this for a laff last year, it had bunny hopping!!! how did i miss this game

sof1: played 2 (div1 cb) for awhile 1 looked alot faster tho

hldm: played it when it first came out then moved on, wish i played it more, ultra fast gameplay which makes up for the crap weapons i guess :P

Kingpin was great, the game that started me playing online (but too late). One night I could always find a game, the next the community vanished like snow of a dyke. Damn, I would love to play that on current bandwidths.

UT99 and then UT2003, but kinda didnt have a connection suited for online play back then : /, and with UT2003 i was playing cs, damn you cd key i got for free!

and wish i started with UT2004 right when it came out instead of waiting 3-4 months.

Probably Tribes. I *have* played pretty much everything else. I wish I was older when I was playing QW though. It was awesome to have a scene that wasn't quite mainstream and everyone was united under one game. I wasn't really old enough to appreciate it properly though. We'll never see a scene like that again.
