The staging and presentation of the finals seemed very tacky and yobbish compared to something like ESWC and the crowd responded in kind. Looked like a pretty shitty atmosphere tbh.

i agree... the prize money is huge, but it looked like a minor lan party from some thugs...

While it is obvious CPL/ESWC/WCG glance at each other for inspiratioin, Quakecon probably doesn't.

ESWC had no booing but to me it seemed everytime an american made a frag in the finals the reaction was much better ;) for sure i think during the czm match :d

they weren't facing the big screens, those were at their sides so the audience could see it...

for zero4 no the screen was a far distance from him, but for czm maybe it seemed right to the side of him. T4 teleporter for sure, but anything else? god knows

Doubt he cared about the boo-ing he has gotten used to it. The guy does more for eSports to date than anyone else i can think of. Constantly giving us new stuff trying to do something everyone in games wants to happen....He is making this shitty hobby people do in their off time into a Large spectical sport. He is striving on 25K checks (only if he wins events) to build a company to give back to gamers who what. Buy his products cause their useful but then sit and boo him while he plays.....Half the people i saw at qcon were using freaking fatpads!!! 50 bucks half of them boo'd him at the end too why cause their jealous. He did something with his life and passion and these people give him crap in return. Thats pathetic. That is the only reason you will never see this as a sport to watch on television. Because half these immature 12 year olds who are the next generation gamers disrespect the people trying to pave the way for them to have careers in this. Grow up!

BTW. Fat doesnt care 1 crap about boo-ing the only time i've seen him overly pissed off about something was when some ass stole Smu! He was seriously pissed...to me thats just fucking rude stealing someones lucky charm that everyone knows is his like motivation in his career. Kids i swear.
