just a few minutes ago i wrote a comment of the match-report of this game. it mostly concern this specific game, but i think it's readable by all q3tdm-interested people :P

ctf defenders get so many points by defending their flag ( which is dbl points 4 1 frag )...of course aswell by killing many attackers aswell.

and i think noone really denies that ur right concerning the influence of frags/netto by position BUT still : there r players
that r just better than others even on that lvl ur playing, rep.

that means i highly doubt any other player than fox wouldve gotten these stats on the same position and hes proven so often what an outstanding player he is....so ur basically right but fox really deserves this extra attention he gets, hes just absolutely outstanding ( 2gether with guys like, czm, stelam, prozac )!

Reptile, I TOTALLY agree with you, I think I noticed the same problem some time ago. There are other examples of this "undeserved underestimation" of the players, who did very well in the match, but didn't get a good netto because of the reasons that you wrote above /on cb page/, and some others as well.
I can give several examples:
-getting 10 spawnfrags on one enemy is never as valuable as killing three or four different enemies in a row, which disrupts the whole opponent team and gives your team total map control and a lot of spawnfrags got by your teammates.
-killing a strong enemy, who hasn't been killed for five minuts or so, and has all weaps and armor / killing an enemy quadman or bs-man - you get only one point for those very difficult and demandful tasks.
-As you said - it all depends on the position. Railgun-pos is probably the most difficult position on pdm6. When your team controls the red armor, you're playing on the enemy territory on rail, you're being attacked from both sides all the time (and only TOXIC can help you out ;-)). But if you do your job well (which requires fucking great skills), the enemy won't be able to attack your teammates on RA (the simpliest way to do it is to rail from the RL side, which is of course impossible to do when you're cut off from rail and don't have the opportunity to get the weapon). They don't have the rail, fox does, they are getting owned - all that in great part thanks to the guy that holds the railgun-respawn point.
-Item picking - your style of play. You can eat 20 RA's per a match and pick up all weapons, or you can leave them for your teammates every time when it's possible, knowing that you're good and you will make it somehow without weaps. The number of armors and weapons picked up is probably the most rarely noticed number in stats.

Most of the things I've written here are not included in /stats and are very difficult to observe by the spectators, unless they are watching your POV all the time.
To be honest - noone cares about it.

In my opinion, maybe it would be pretty good when netto and frags statistics were disabled.

(I wanted to add that I am, or at least used to be, the kind of the 'parosite' player who has quite easy position, grabs a lot of items and is admired by the watchers for his netto. Now I'm trying to play in a little bit different, better and more MyTeam-Friendly way...)

i've sad he is a great players but for me it is a bit boreing to watch demos when the dude dies like 5-6 times a game!it is like OMFG skill , but i saw 10-15 demos of fox on dm6 and they all are the same - pure ownage.

thats why he said to watch your own demos, exact opposite = exciting?
