Your argument might have some weight if ZeRo4 got to play against Z4muz on pro-t4 twice, z4's best map, and sure maybe z4muz would have done much better on ztn if they played that twice, but pro-q3dm6 is neither players weak or strong suit. In the superfinal match on it ZeRo4 earns the win by showing even when he is down 2-0 and the other man has control, he can overcome this fact and dominate. The first game ZeRo4 has control the entire time and z4muz doesn't come close to overcoming it, a well deserved tournament win for ZeRo4.

Looking back to the old times, I think the only thing he hadn't was a good shaft, but know, he's just awesome with all weapons.

I'v just look the 'double air rox' frag, because it looks pretty weird.
In fact, this is a 'simple' air rox. The first rox that make Z4muZ fly away is his own rox shooted on the ramp of the bumper. I'm not even sure ZeRo4 kills him with an air rox, because it seems to blow out on the roof.
Btw it's a great frag.

It sais "All*Z4muZ ate ZeRo4's rocket" which means it was a direct hit.
What got Z4muZ flying is that he jumped and then accidentally shot a rocket at the wall on his left.

You can't just get good by practicing the maps you're not good at, of course you will get better. But which maps are your best all depends on what kind of player you are.

They picked all the maps totally randomly, there was no elimination. There wasn't even a rule saying you can't get the same map twice against the same player, which is standard in double elim.

I saw LeXeR in GTV talking to an opponent early in the tournament that each player drops a map and then it's drawn randomly out of the two remaining.

At least in the rules its just random unless both players agree. It sounds just like Lexer to tell people otherwise though :).

Heh, and while we're talking about if who would've been there, if Thresh or Fatal1ty were there...Cooller wasn't there, so oh well. Zero4 got raped on DM6 by Cooller, no doubt. But I wouldn't say that Zero4 got oWned like some of you are making it seem on ZTN against Cooller. I saw a lot of careless and cocky plays done by Cooller which is why Zero4 had it a close game. To me, Unkind is a way better ZTN player than Cooller. Sure, Cooller won the ESWC, which I'm not taking anything away from him because Z4 and Cooller and both the best. But, Z4's still on top of his game and he yet again proved it.

If Cooller where there :), I think it would've been a close game and an aWesome tourney. These guys are pros, so one bad spaWn and so on as we all knoW it can change the whole game around. So stop calling it luck. Zero4 and Cooler both roXorz. But I'd prefer watching Z4 any day. His style's way more entertaining. I can't stand Cooller's ":]", JK

z4 plays a cool style in my opinion. he is very entertaining and fun to watch so i like to see him playing along the top players... i really think that all in all americans have been the most efficient duellers in q3 history. What i find noticeable is that almost no american team has ever made it to the top in q3 tdm... There germans, british and swedes have dominated the whole time. I could now ask if this has got something to do with the differents mentalities :D

it's just easier here in america to be on your own since it's very hard to build a good team of local people. our pings suck too :X

Most of the top european teams at that time didn't attend frag4. Its got nothing to with mentalities anyway tho, just theres always been lower pings and more practice opponents and leagues to play in Europe.

i wouldn't say "no competition", 10 of ESWC's 20 q3 competitors were present for qcon duel. 5 of those 10 finished top 8 @ ESWC, 2 in the top 3. there was competition @ qcon, just not quite the same level of competition or format.

Yeah, it's not fair to compare the ESWC to QCon, but z4muZ didn't get invited to ESWC for no reason. So, him facing Z4 in the finals, that's not enough comp? There's a reason Z4 won QCon, the same reason he was one of the best at ESWC. Just because he won and dominated at QCon doesn't mean there was no comp there. It's just a shame that uNkind and cooller weren't there. I'd love to see Z4 play uNkind.
