why do any mod exist, militia passes my time, its all alot faster then the proper sdk, before you hit a MP game, goto player settup and load up all the models into memory, and find out

the sdk is easy enough, once you have worked out how the classes and entities work, you can follow code through all the functions and find a easier way to do most of it, hence a faster way, which then all adds up to lower cpu blah blah blah

We had greate pro mod for Q4, that was used in big tourneys for few years. we hadn't any lags, any bugs, any gliches. It sucked , becoz gameplay sucked , 1.5 or some patch made Q4 9999 speed and so on.

MAIN PROBLEM IS GAMEPLAY, not fps/bus or what shit you call. You could create perfect balanced MP, but still, without ID softaware help (they should release this patch) , you can't make it popular.
Q4 was shit from start , it was fixed a bit 1.1-1.2, but then other patches destroyed gameplay from most views.

original gameplay is slow and boring, militia speed is 320, because of new physics, in the 1.4.2 you would need 800 for the same speed

Don't worry, militia "fixes" the gameplay too - you can have vehicles in mp (well, kind of since there are no maps suitable for them). The movement is different too (didn't rocket jumping get removed?) and I think you can have guided rockets in mp too. It's everything you always wanted.

quit crying sissy, q4max is bullshit, all other games live because all teh 100,.000 people who dont play in tournies have mp vehicles, guided projectiles, voice taunts etc etc.

its not hard to put a vehicle in a map, all the vehicles are have shit models, but all the code is done, except for some eyeJoint glitch on map restarts, its probaly the only thing you might need the engine for.. but you can get around that if you dont use warmups etc

militia changes everything, its why it has so many releases, most of the sdk has been changed, the engine just processes it and put it on screen, all the game code is in the dll, either in Game or idLib where the math lays

if q4max was good it would still be used today, but it aint,

its only the past few releases of militia that been 100% fully playable on dedicated and listen servers

go back into the main quake 4 directory and run the run_militia_1.7_1.1.13.bat to automatically load q4 militia with no startup videos, or run quake 4 normally and goto the mod menu in the bottom left corner of the main menu and load the mod from the

its not a compitition mod, its a unofficial patch mod, enable tournament mode to disable listed things and force pro models,

setup custom damagesets any way, using militia damage set in the damage set pk4, upload your custom pk4 to your server, with all the _militia renamed to what you want in the .def file, and set the si_damageset cvar to what you have named it, and start your server and it will be used for all damage iimpacts

just rename the militia part. the name needs the _YOURDAMAGESETNAME and si_damageset "YOURDAMAGESETNAME"

in general 1.1.15 is a mean motherfucker world domination q43a mod
