Music drives you away from the scene - it reminds me of some 90s movie title screen with bearded bikers on Harleys riding of into the sunset in Nevada.

Flicks that aren't necessary flicks just looks stupid. It doesn't make it a better or cooler frag because you refused to move your crosshair before the millisecond you wanted to fire.

What about Bulgarian Odyssey and the rest of the vids with flicks ;D

The problem with flicking is that it is based on luck. You can train it ofc but it is always a loterry. With steady crosshair you hit much more shots with higher success rate.

Some flicks are usefull though. When you don't have time for standard shooting, at high speed, etc. But I think it should only be used as a rare addition to normal shooting.

Regarding Bulgarian Oddysey: as you might know HAL9000 is a robot with much higher success rate of flick shots than humans have. But you can ask him how many flick shots he missed...

About as much as he did without flicking I'd say. Flicking isn't about luck but about being in tune with your sens. And especially in cpm where you hear the enemy constantly and you can position yourself using aircontrol before you fire them and when the majority are close range there's no luck, just a different form of aim.

I think the advantage of this style is that it safes you time. You can keep your flow and flick only and kill spawners. Cause flick doesn't interupt your movement at all. When you stop and fight normally it stops you on one place. I guess thats why playing HAL9000 on aerowalk is like playing with three people at once. But I still highly doubt it is more accurate than standard shooting.

I think it's nice to see that people use different ways of aiming, it's part of the beauty of quake, it adds diversity to the viewer and creates styles... it's like complaining about the way Larry Bird shoots cos it's weird or wrongly executed. But if it works, why would you change that?

2012 me flicked a lot just coz, now it's more reaction or throwing a shot out that doesn't interrupt the route im taking etc. Totally agree nowadays being older and wiser etc

I liked the music! Frags were good though not much variety (flick rail, some flick rockets, occasional midair, etc.). Maybe you should have saved your frags and made a "full" Aussie CPM promode vid.

Or better yet, send me the best AU has to offer and I will make you an Aussie vid.

great frags, although I agree with funnyb that flickrails that aren't necessary aren't that cool (I'm guilty of this myself lol, at least I was when I used to play this game).

for example, the second to last frag in dorftrottel (pixel-twitchrail by Nzr0) is an example of where a flick rail is necessary because he was moving across to the rail platform and the only way to make the shot was if he flicked it.
