Yeah, you wait with gaunt on the other side and instead of enemy model you get pee teleported straight into your face. An idea for paid dlc, im sure.


I had a friend once who had binds on foot pedals but also used them for other functions (zoom etc). He wqs qn avid nfs fan so for him using foot pedals was normal, probably would move in quake using steering wheel if he could. Point is if youve got such peripherals, why not?

Never got to it while i should mouse and keys with only my right arm is fucking stressfull to the point i stopped playing

I bought a peddle from ebay for £3 about 3 years ago once to use it to activate push to talk as I'd run out of convenient keys and didn't want to alter my layout.

It worked I just didn't find it convenient enough at all, I'd shift about and lose it, and I think all my concious focus is just on my hands as I play. So I didn't bother using it after a few evenings and don't even know where it's got to now.

If I'd built a solid base for it, or bought a more expensive one that came with one maybe I'd have tried it for longer.

i played Quake 1 with pedals and wheel once.
My friend was at pedals (+forward, +back) and i was at the wheel.
We were drunk as fuck but supposedly twas a reenacting of some famous tank battle.

I used 2 stinkyboards for +left and +right. Believe it or not some guy said i much harder to hit with the foot pedal than without. I'm not just some dodge noob either, some people have claimed i have the best dodging in Aus. Only downside is it requires too much effort from your legs.

By the time that that becomes an issue, it's already too late.

Movement in your hand when you're trying to aim is bad. That's why some people use space rather than M1 to shoot - nothing in your hand has to tense to fire.

Keyboard has drawbacks too, and I've heard rumors of players realising certain opponents dodged in specific directions when swapping to a given gun, but overall the movement is so small you can fit it in easily. You take your hands off of keys, but you never take your hand off the mouse.
