The mouse feel on Windows 10 is fine. The only problem I had, is the lack of drivers and the compatiblity issue with some software.

Win10 has the start bar back by default. It's different/weird though. And mine likes to randomly refuse to open until I go click on the other monitor's start button a few times so fuck this thing anyway.

been on 8.1 for a few months and applied fixes and such... just feels weird, man. thinking of making a ~150$ quake box with xp on it just for proper mouse feel. sad times

I haven't noticed that problem. I haven't had a problem running reflex either.

it's hard to explain. I've tried 3 mice on 3 pads (all combos) and something just feels off about it. its really noticeable when im moving my mouse diagonally.

I haven't noticed. What specs? How long has it been installed? I have yet to find anything wrong 8.1 but I've only had it installed for a month. Other than it being Microsoft....

it's to do with the fact aero can't be disabled on windows 8, this issue was also present in windows 7 but aero could be disabled.

If I remember correctly, it comes with disabled EPP, and no accel. At least the MouseMovementRecorder showed it was pure raw input and I didn't feel any funny business with the mouse.
So, I'd say.. maybe they're doing it right..

Base mouse speed is lower with EPP enabled though it feels.

Often publishers will choose to enable accelerative options by default because they think of touchpad input on notebooks.
Generally all of those "optimizations" that can be done stir from the fact that the OS are multipurpose packages for a variety of platforms and a variety of uses.
Would be nice if Windows or Linux had dedicated "desktop" and going further "gaming desktop" distributions or packages.
Should even boost Windows sales when you have the option of not using the same product on all devices and for all purposes.

It's also MUCH HARDER to get rid of the bloat on Win 10. Things like Win Defender have more services running and it won't let you turn them off. Just played around a bit on my friends w10 rig with my mouse and cfg. Ingame mouse feel is the same as on my pc with w8.1/w7.

got w10 on my own desktop now, i gotta say on my rig (my friend whose pc i tried doesnt have a 144hz screen) the mouse feels even better than on win8.1

feels fine foe me.
