The other day I was enlightened by elocoins entrepreneur, skulp: if you use a mouse cord holder then use it backwards, so the cable comes from the same height as the mousepad.

In that case it miiiiiight be worth the money.

Try this:

If mouse cord will go through easly you can add something to hold it (pair of toothpicks or matches tied with rubber band)

Best solution for non-palm grippers:
Tape mouse cable to the mouse so it's pointing backwards.
Route the cable along the right side of your right arm.
Then with a small loop to the left under the table.
Fix a cable-tie under your table using a pushpin (very close to the edge of the table and right under your arm).
Fix cable under the desk with the cable-tie.
Acquire USB extension cable (1€) so you can still reach your computer.
Enjoy free mouse movement in ranges of 1 meter without feeling the cable.

It seriously rocks. I guess it's only really useful for low sens players tho. You can do quick swipes/flicks without the cable swinging around.

I've recently taped my cord to the side of the monitor and found that this works quite well, certainly better than just taping it to the desk. I think it's important that the point where the cord is fixated is not on the same level as your desk, but slightly elevated instead (similar to talex's awesome setup).

And why is that exactly?

That kinda matters with a qck heavy in particular only.

try with it lower instead of higher and you will see.

First off, I'm using a g100s with the weights removed, which is quite a light mouse. Mousepad is a Zowie G-TF.
The cord isn't the greatest in terms of flexibility, and it always feels like I should rotate the mouse because the cord is twisted, but it's not, it just feels awkward.
Having the cord suspended in air instead of flat on the desk 1. removes a bit of the friction cord<->desk, 2. makes it so I don't have to push the whole weight of the cord around on my desk (cause it's held up from a higher point) and 3. lets it unravel more freely. When I had the cord flat on the desk, the mouse would often slide about 1 cm around my mousepad as soon as I released my grip, just because the cord is so rigid and the mouse so lightweight. Elevating the cord has solved this problem to the extent that I really need to try when I want to reproduce it.
