I just started UT4. That's some big news right there...although first impressions weren't great.

Edit: Also if anyone wants to get a decent player to give him a better overview of UT4 in a 1on1 server (not duelling but just explaining-playing around with the mechanics), pm me here or on irc. It's funny and awkwardly "strange" (to stay polite) to say "UT is slow" when the only thing they do is running :)))) . It's like a newbie that could not or simply didnt know, how to strafejump in quake saying the mechanic is shit because you can only bunny hop. Be smart, and ask someone to get a fast overview of the possibilities, the experience will only be better ;) .

thank you. ive seen hypno play on few maps and it's by no means a slow game :l it's actually very hard to master going about the map very fast.

Is it just me or it takes game server browser like 5 mins to update all servers status?

you get odd behavior when you select the quickplay. but if you use find a game, then double click internet they should load up quickly (atleast I haven't seen it go slowly in the ~15 times ive used it)

I thought it was reasonable, it is UT. Graphics is nice, and ok for multiplayer.

I don't like the sound, can't identify wtf the opponent is, but that could because I'm used to quake. Enemy skins suck, and aiming isn't pixel perfect. Crosshair was on the guy and kept hitting the ledge below his head for example. Otherwise yeah it's ok, I can play it.

it's still pre-alpha m8. they are still working on even the most basic stuff. they are taking their time and listening to the community.

I know, was just first thoughts. I might take a gander and try make a hud or something, or a server menu, something like that, would be a nice small project.
