Is the shotgun 100 or 110?

it was 110 in quake3 i think, 11 bullets per shot with each 10 dmg

in ql 100 damage, 20 projectiles each do 5 damage = 100

it was 110 with random spread patterns. then it was nerfed b4 one of the TDM events iirc so that it wasnt a random spread with 100 damage

history of QL shotgun, chronically:

random spread 110 dmg
"sniper shotgun" with higher dmg pellets in the center, don't remember dmg
80 tdm/100 regular dmg
20x5 pellets with fixed spread (cg_trueshotgun? 1)

cg_trueShotgun is just a visual cvar.

Correct, or more to the point: It has always had a fixed spread server-side.

So neither cg_trueshotgun 0 or 1 are accurate representations? 0 is obvious, but if the spread is fixed, and 1 displays a fixed spread as well, wouldn't it make sense if it was accurate?

man...this bfg really suxx....

It sux, because 333dps is still too much. Changing damage/direct hit to 50 would fix it. Also velocity could be changed to 2000 (same as plasma, 2x rocket velocity).

nerf pg. its probably the best weapon when used against me. close range mid range long range blocking off chokepoints. I swear, the dps is fkn unpredictable.Although yeah, this is my bad dodgineg, but I notice that ppl that can use it really well are much more annoying than guys iwth 40+ lg or 60+ rele. :) Idk, thats my 2 cents.

in quakelive, the PG is the best weapon but also the hardest to use effectively, by far.
