Most people probably know that Unreal Tournament 2004's community has been shrinking and shrinking for the past few years, and while it's still being played, it's tough nowadays to find a good and filled server.
So to honor this game, which will have its 10th birthday in just two months, I thought of organizing a tournament to call back to good old times and have fun and competition.

The format would be like this, depending on how many people sign up. For the sake of explanation, let's assume 32 players - I realize that's a high expectation, but the format can always be tweaked.

I can't provide any information about prizing yet, as I first want to gauge interest. Maybe the game and its fanbase are indeed dead and nobody wants to participate - to find out, I have created a strawpoll (http://strawpoll.me/994500). Please take some time to provide your input on whether you would be interested in participating.

The tournament, if it does happen, will be streamed and casted.

Obviously, nothing is set in stone, and I am open to suggestions regarding format, prizing or size of the tournament. Leave your feedback, I'll try my best to respond to everyone.

If you don't own UT2k4 yet, you can pick it up for a measly ten bucks at gog.com (http://www.gog.com/game/unreal_tournament_2004_ece). It's definitely worth it!

There is no minimum skill requirement for this tournament, so everyone can participate, regardless of how good they are. The main point is to have fun and compete in one of the best games ever made!
