Nice initiative from his side, unlike others he at least wont charge for it.Hopefully he will improve his in-depth explanations and not just describe what he is doing through the game at that moment, maybe take more time for each of the game to give more details etc.

Different gameplay. Depends of the enemy if it will be more/less effective.

Did anyone watch the aerowalk guide?

I found it pretty nice, up until the point where he talked about the importance of denying shotgun while in control. Apparently, the shortgun is supposed to be a very useful weapon because out-of-control players with low health can use it to make much damage from long range.

Is this as crazy as it sounds or does this actually make some sense? I can't remeber seeing an aerowalk match in which anybody utilized the shotgun, let alone from long range while out of control.

You have to read between the lines. He didnt say you have to deny it, he said you should get it to finish off the out-of-control of player when he's on low health. And that you can pick off a lot of damage by using it long range without aiming perfectly (ie. with railgun). An example of this would be when someone's ducking behind a corner probly. If he rushes onto you then the reload time will finish and you can hit a full load onto him :}

because my pc is a lot weaker than strenx's so if I record a reasonable quality vid my fps are well below 10.
I've talked to some of the streamers a few years back if we could collaborate making tutorial vids but things didn't work out in our scheduals for a while.
I did give a few small examples back when I casted some games while we were waiting for the next match etc.

If you dont have the horsepower for video editing, do it screenshot + text style or whatever, there are lots of fun ways to do it simple and nice.

Also I'm not really skilled at writing things down.... it's much easier for me to show things ingame. But either way... the way the community sees me atm.... a tutorial would not be recieved well I guess.

I think if you made it and DIDN'T mention the netcode, people would be appreciative.

I casted (on and off) for around 1 year and a half without ever mentioning the netcode.... I think I can manage.
Heck zoot even had to ask me like 10 times if my loss to some random french fakenick in a faceit cup was due to netcode before I managed to get him to talk about the game which we were casting...

But it's that messed up view people have of me.... If I would write a tutorial people with that view will just jump up at some comment I make and say that I mean netcode is shit and blabla....

It's insane man.... People take my words and pull them out of context like mad. Just so that "my words" fits with "their view of me".

There are a few issues that I have with it....

Mainly I find it retarded that if I were to play with torrents on I don't have to change my own game at all.... but when my opponent does so I have to alter my decisions in order to win. (which I have always refused to do which is probably why I only got top8 on online events (in early ql) rather than winning several)

But also the fact that if you have high ping that you're pretty much forced to play agressive with LG is kind of silly.

The reason for it all is this unlagged crap. It doesn't work for quake because the fights are too extended. You can actually see that shots go past you which deal dmg. (get an opponent on high ping to track you while you're falling down or smth... his lg will be so far off of your model on your screen)

Anyway I've made comments about it in the past and I wrote a nice comparison on different types of netcode....

He's no cooller when it comes to popularity among the community, but that doesn't deny the fact that when he's in a competitive enviroment he's one fierce sonuvabitch.

Hud is what strenx uses for sure. Look at either his facbook or fanatic website it can be downloaded there for sure. The rest of config- I don't know it has some resemblance to his usual config for sure, however there are for sure some differences to what I saw on his stream and when loading up his config.
