Hi all !

First of all, sorry for my english ..

I plan to make the KinzuAdder 2013 !

I followed all instructions I can found on this forum and note / paste them to make a little DB about kinzuadder modding.

I have seen a lot of mod with Kinzu V2 Pro but noone with V2. So, I will make my own post.

What am I using ?

- SteelSeries Kinzu V2 Orange

- Omron D2-01F Switchs

First things I've done is to replace TTC switchs with Omron swtich. This part is ok.

Now, I will change my PCB with DA PCB but I don't know what to do to make the M3 button working. Kinzu PCB is not the same as Kinzu V2 Pro. I can upload some pics if you want. I've read Thunda's thread that is very helpull !

My kinzuadder just died, like literally a few hours ago.

I was in the middle of a ca game and it just stopped working. Couldn't move or click. I tried unplugging/plugging it back in, I tried different usb ports, restarting, poking around the drivers. I tried cleaning it like I do, blowing on the sensor and wiping it down (like that would do anything but w/e). I tried shaking it but alas, nothing.

It is recognized by the machine (plugging it in plays the something was just plugged in sound) but that's about it. I guess some wire(s) may have come loose suddenly. Shrug.

I didn't, it was bought from someone who builds them, and then the person who bought it sent it to me since the shape didn't work for them.

I heard that the builder said something about the wiring inside being "messy", so probably that has something to do with it :-/

I didn't make it, but I find the sentiment silly. All mice consist of different parts that are very often from different manufacturers.

I suspect that a connection became loose, but it could also be that the razer board died as it was from an original deathadder which is quite dated nowadays.

I have built two Kinzuadders using the V2 Pro as a base, someone on overclock figured out the wiring for the Kinzu v2 and DAv3 (v2 might be different)

If you dremel bits off both the button PCB (might need a jumper wire for a cut trace) and the DA PCB you can actually fit everything inside and still close it up using all four screws.

You will however need to secure the DA PCB with plenty of hotglue and lengthen the USB cable internally (i used the DA cable in both cases)

What do you think about DeathAdder 3.5G 3500 DPI (RZ01-00151400) ? Is this sensor good to make kinzuadder ? I'm asking it because DA 1800DPI are very hard to found now ! It's to make a second kinzuadder.

All 3G and 3,5G models fit into the Kinzu shell since they all have the same shape.
The 3Gv3 and 3,5G do in fact have an almost identical PCB and the same pinout.

The 2013 has a completely different board.

Almost identical? They're the same. Swapped sensor branding S3668>S3888.

Original 3G models were produced in another factory.

First try miserably failed !

I think i made something wrong, maybe interverting gnd with another slot idk ...

i ruined one PCB, when i put the wires of the usb-cable in the wrong order in the plug.
so it had nothing to do with the actual wiring on the 10 pins.
it also smelled burnt.

Hi thuNDa !

I have seen this pix but I wish verify by my own if this is right and I found another wiring on the DA Rev2. But maybe I am wrong (I think). I used the DA USB cable so i can't do any mistake by connecting it, I can just make mistake on the 10 pins wiring.

I'll try to "rewire" the KinzuAdder but I don't think that it will work, I am looking for another DA Rev2 PCB ... (very hard to find it now !)

there is not even Vcc required when u connect the button-PCB of the Kinzu to the main-PCB of the DA.
GND is on pin10 for sure tho, on all revisions.

All is working fine after reusing the old DA pcb (those who smell burnt).

there is just a problem now, the lift of distance is too short to be used with teflon pads. I am searching a way to reduce it. I've triied cleant the interior of the shape under the pcb ... Nothing new, LOD is approx 1mm too short. If someone get tips, tell me ...

Ive read thunda's post about it where he used the kinzu led tout get� higher LOD. I have 2 orange kinzu on the way and 1-2 deathadder 1800dpi that will arrive in approx 2 weeks. After these 2 others kinzuadder i will up the price to 100� because there is no other kinzu v2 in low price.

i used a red LED for LOWER LOD.
maybe some dust came into the sensor chip, while you were cutting the PCB.
you can open it by using something like a needle, but be carefull to not scratch over the surface while doing so.
it's also possible that the thing which smelled, was meant for power supply of the LED, and now delivers less electricity for the LED.

I just finalized my KinzuAdder. I glued the pcb with sensor on the bottom of the kinzu shape and the LOD is now perfect, maybe a bit short for some players but that's really nice for me !

I'm still waiting others kinzu / DA to make others KinzuAdder, i'll post when it will be finished.

I was curious to try the Kinzu V2 too ! But the sensor is a real big shit ! It can NOT follow my "fast moves" (I play on low sens) when you need to do 180� or something like that. You can google it, all guys said this sensir is a crap. That's the reason why I have make some KinzuAdders.

that wasn't fixed and i agree that the kinzu got a poor sensor (the kinzu is a low end steelseries mouse : the xai sensor is better but the mouse bigger). I have a kinzuadder and it works well : small size and efficient sensor -- the best i ever had.

kana and kinzu2 have the same sensor but different lens.
kana has only half the DPI but twice the maxspeed of the kinzu2 to say it simple.

i use 24cm/360 and in certain rare situations it can malfunction. i can play a week of cpm duels and not hit it.. imagine the fastest 180s of your life and of thoseonly a few will mess up

i still use it because i need the dpi

What happens when it malfunctions though? The wmo just exhibits a progressively increasing negative accel. Does the kinzu v2 go nuts?

no accel, neg accel with a little bit of funkyness but not disorienting

there's also a strange bug where you can just leave it sitting and randomly the cursor starts oscilating in a small range all over the place. it's weird as fuck but only happens rarely when theres no input coming in so you dont ahve to worry about it ingame.

i bought one from the cheap korean ebay store selling them

i think just v2.. internals are the same though i think just this has no gloss?

the build itself is quite nice, zowie and steelseries seem to have best asthetics/materials but zowie cost so much and don't really havea true wmo clone

just finished implanting a deathadder 3.5 g into a wingman gaming mouse. Now I just have to get used to lift off distance (will try tape trick, or use thicker mouse feet), but it feels awesome :)

yesterday, for the first time in 16 years, I played a game of quake without a ballmouse :)

They charge fairly high margin on mouse skates. I am sure they are very cheap to make in china.
Some companies charge ridiculous amount (�8) for 2 skates here. I just look around a lot for bargains now a days. :D

Ok, I got mine!

which looks really neat, and there is no problem at all right now.
I only downloaded Razer synapse 2.0 and configured my settings and not it works like a charm.

You already know about this staff I think, kinzu mouse and DA sensor, so I will not talk about this. However the only think I am not sure is the skatez, because I didnt really like them, maybe because I really used to use Hyperglides with my WMO. so I tried to feel same. I dont know what I will do, but that the thing.

After time I can comment on it more and accurate but now thats all, also, the shipping was reallly fast, I paid like 4or 5 days ago, and he lives in France, I live in USA, and mouse is now in my hands.
