The funny thing is that DICE promised everyone that Battlefield 3 would be a highly competitive game reaching to be the number one FPS esport out there. I know several people who played Battlefield 2 competitively and the whole BF2 scene moved on to BF3 instantly during release with high hopes.

Then, when everyone ditched the BF2 scene because of this awesome promise from DICE, BF3 was released without a single feature for competitive play at all. You can't even manage unlockables, let alone spectate a game.

DICE is just a bunch of lying idiots who try to be the next Call of Duty.

all the code in skilth is done if you want to make your own battlefield or COD,.

you add TDM, make player team skins and each for a new climate atmosphere if needed for snow, jungle for players and deployables etc

the physics on vehicles are all setup and more realistic,

the walk/spint speed is better then black OPs 2, but in your retard view is just the same type of gameplay

i have left all the strogg weapon features in the source, so you can make sci`fi team based mods

besides that, you just make some maps with no objectives for TDM

you can then spectate and use your QW tv and relays etc etc etc

iirc there was 1-1.5k less viewers on CS:GO stream than QL stream this DH. Also, the audience in the finals of CS:GO were shit compared to the QL audience.

Nobody was cheering or seemed to enjoy the game as much as the quake audience. The game is simply not at all good compared to QL (or at least the scene atm). There was one tense moment during the whole final. In Quake there were loads.

I think its more likely CS that dies rather that quake going up, but quake is definitely not dying.

The reason is that cs:go has nothing but the name cs in it. Might sound for a quaker retarded (it kinda is :P) but the movement is even more limited than in cs. Maps suck, weapons are fucking random and I dont even wanna mention the molotov. So yeah cs:go wont last long. Kinda sad that valve did an amazing job with dota and failed with cs even tho I dont play it anymore.

I think CS:GO is a very fun and good CS. It's just that its different. If id would release a new Quake but change everything slightly, then the hardcore Quakers would ditch it but there might be some new blood in it.

Same thing with CS:GO... 1.6 only had hardcore players left, so everyone ditched CS:GO (unless the 20k casual players, who play CS:GO atm).

I have absolutely no idea about the UT scene, I'm sure there are some tiny in-house scrims and such from time to time, God knows the game still has players.

im familiar with it. it's pretty active, even ut99 but tournaments as in LAN's are a no no. but online cups like clanbase and such are frequent and active.

quakewars engine is nothing like the bullshit that is doom 3 engine, its nothing like the bullshit of quake 4 engine, it all works complety different with all atmopheres and megatextures on top
