I think there was absolutely no point in making the 4 vs 4 fight; the best could have been 2 ogre vs 4 dogs

And how do you come to that conclusion? Why 2 vs 4? Why not 1 vs 3? Or 2 vs 3? Or 2 vs 5?

If you have a system, I'd love to hear about it. If you're just pulling numbers out of arse, that's what I'm doing also :)

4 vs 4 was obviously unfair, watching the previous matches; now that you said it, probably 2 vs 5 would be better, or even 2 vs 6

The point of the second "horde" match is so that its fair - and I even have a system, where I spawn them such that their HP add up

In the tiebreak, the objectively stronger monster will (should...) win, however.

It's all dependent on the arrangemant of the spawns. If you had 2 dogs on each side of the orge the dogs would properly win. Even a dog spawned right next to the orge might win by having a faster attack speed maybe.
