Just get the MX518v2 skates, they are identical with the ones that are on the G400.

Can't seem to find those in my country. :(

Just order directly from the hyperglide website. Shipping is slow (2-3 weeks) but they are made for MX518v2/G400 and fit perfectly.

The G5 feet are different from the MX518v2/G400 feet. Puretrak made the mistake of sending them to me even after I emailed them explaining the differences.

I contacted Logitech and asked them to sell me some replacement G400 feet but they didn't have any, instead they just sent me a new G400 free of charge without asking for the old one.

I still ended up buying MX518v2 hyperglides for the older mouse which do indeed fit the G400 perfectly.

or you can order from puretrak and get them in like 10 days internationally. they're cheaper, made of the same material as hyperglides and are much thicker so they last longer.

I already said that Puretrak is a fail when it comes to G400 feet. I tried buying the HD glides on their website. I emailed them to make sure that they knew that the G5 and the MX518v2 feet are DIFFERENT.

Their website claims that they are the same and lists compatible mice as "G5 / G7 / MX518 (v2). This is wrong.

Puretrak responded to me saying that they were aware of the mistake and if I ordered that set of those feet it would be the MX518v2 feet and they would fit my G400.

They sent me G5 feet anyways and didn't reply to me after I sent them a rage email explaining their mistake.

omg what a fail company... using their talent atm tho. :P

except the mistake was not on their end. i posted on overclock as i was wondering why the fitment wasn't dead on. I too had the same issue you had derp but this was when i had my mx518 last year. this was my email to puretrak and their response:

"Hello again,

So I was finally able to confirm with our rep from Logitech that there was in fact an unannounced revision of the bottom skates which is causing the size difference you are experiencing.

To correct the issue, we have made additional tooling for customers who are having this issue with their original skates. With that said, I would like to send you a pair of newly revised PerfectGlide | HD skates free of charge for your testing. Our PerfectGlide | HD line is our premium line of skates which features a 100% Teflon material giving you the fastest glide available.

keep in mind, this was less than a week after i originally emailed them. impressive none the less especially since they needed to speak with logitech to confirm the problem.

since then i purchased a G400 and immediately replaced the skates on it with the perfectglide | HD's and i honestly cannot be happier. 100% fitment and I got them in 2 days after ordering. my guild buds in the UK got theirs in about 7 days. all for like $2.00 shipping.

and hey, i'm no fan boy of any company.... just ones that make good stuff that deserve recognition. you're never going to please everyone. i just think some of you are nutso when it comes to bashing companies no matter what the circumstances. maybe your email got ignored cause you raged? just cause your in a community full of kids doesn't mean you need to act like one =)

anywho, puretrak has a good lineup of skates especially their HD line. I recommend them for sure.

I'm usually an understanding customer but when they have a mistake on their website and the customer emails them BEFORE the purchase to make sure that they are buying the correct product and they STILL eff things up then they deserve rage. For some reason I thought I left them a rude email but after checking it my "rage" reply doesn't seem too bad. These are exact quotes:

Puretrak:

"Thank you for contacting PureTrak! Yes, we are aware of the mistake in the branding of that specific model. The skates advertised are in fact the ones for the MX518v2 and will have direct fitment for your G400."

Me directly after:

"Thank you for the fast response and the good news. I went ahead and ordered a set."

And my response after they still sent me the wrong feet:

"I thought I should let you know that even after confirming my question through this email I got sent G5 feet anyways, not G400 feet. Unfortunately I only noticed this after installing the side foot and the bottom foot. My stock feet are ruined and now with these Puretrak G5 feet on the glide is VERY slow."

The glide was crap because they didn't fit. That was on Feb 23rd and they never responded. The feet weren't free or anything, this is just bad business.

oh well, like i said... they responded to me same day and i had a new set of skates by the end of the week that fit to a T

i really don't think they just flat out ignored you. something probably happened with the email. i'd email them again... i'm sure they'll help you and probably send you another set

but ya, the HD skates have an awesome glide to me and i probably won't need to replace them for 1 year+ with how thick they are
