Dude you put so much energy into tearing this game down and for what, to have almost everyone disagree with you? One day Quake will come to an end and a new game will rise in its place. Maybe it's after this weekend, maybe it's a year from now. Who knows. What matters is what you do with the time you have now and where you want to put effort into improving the game.

Doing what you do by simply crying over the silliest things (Id software being racist is just the most absurd thing I've ever heard out of a player, as if you've never heard gamers from all walks of life drop prejudicial binds every which way) and trying to take away the fun other people are having. It's like you can't stomach the thought that people actually enjoy playing the game on your "watch".

This isn't even an attack on any one of your points, but rather your general attitude. You aren't helping anything. Nobody wants to listen to your rants. Nobody cares that you hate the development team, incubus, syncerror etc etc. Just drop it because absolutely nothing good comes from your fingertips and nobody takes you seriously anyway.

Unchecked population growth is a problem, and since they aren't passing the genes on, it isn't an issue anyway. Hell, even if they were passing the genes on, all it would be doing is eventually leading to evolution pushing them either back to interest in the other gender, or towards asexual reproduction.

This isn't a flaw, it's a difference.

They do not have the inability to reproduce, they have the distaste in the opposite gender. We have the flaw of overpopulation, which this partly helps. In addition, the genes are NOT being passed on, so not only is this not having any effect on the gene pool, it's potentially helping the population problem.

Even if they were passing on genes, there is no assurance that their children would be homosexual, and no reason to believe that evolution wouldn't step in LONG before it was a problem anyway.

Humans have two basic instincts - survival and reproduction. And the fact of the matter is that without modern technology or straight people leaving their children they cannot have kids of their own. Yes in today's world they can and should but I think you'd agree that homosexuality hasn't just started in the last 50 years. If the majority were homosexual, evolution would take over and either make females more attractive to homosexuals, or it would make them asexual.

However, the only way the majority could become homosexual is if the current homosexuals were passing on their genes, which would sort of eliminate the entire foundation of the problem with them not reproducing. That's also assuming that the genes which make someone homosexual necessarily transmit to their offspring.

I'm not looking at it through the eyes of humanity, but through the eyes of logic. Homosexuals aren't interacting with the main gene pool, and they are helping to keep population down by adopting the children that are already without parents. In order to consider it a 'flaw', you have to be looking at it through the eyes of humanity - many species do things a lot differently than we do, and everything has its strengths and weaknesses.

You can take a lot of people down by starting from the top and working your way to the bottom. And whether racisim is right is not up for discussion here. This is about what happens within quake live and the rules that are being ignored in regards to the perpetrators that break those rules. Why have rules if they get ignored? Why not just rate it M or R then? This game was rated T for a reason, they wanted to broaden their audience. Ok, fine, but in doing so, they do have a responsibility, as fathers (adam is a father) for their own children and for others. Otherwise, if everything is going to be allowed, then just rate this game M and be done with it.

There is no campaign. The issues plaguing this game are multifold. Many people have responded to it. You say "everyone" like it's true. Sorry, you're wrong. Many people share my thoughts, but this is ESR so i know my limitations of reaching that crowd here.

Either way, all you're really upset about is my 10,000 screenshots. You can say whatever you want about me, after i post. But you can't take away those screenshots proving my points. Incubus slums and has at least 6 accounts (bleed_, incubeast, ted_, power, artanis, incubus), av8r is a racist, and syncerror has done nothing against either one of them. case closed and nothing you say will change that fact.

There are many other facets of quakelive affecting the popularity of this game, but those are all things adressed by a multitude of people here and elsewhere. I'm simply filling the void, and talking about the things that most people are too scared to address, at fear that they too will be banned by syncerror for voicing it.

The truth is ugly i know, and i'm sorry that truth is hard for you to swallow. But it is the truth, no matter how much you try to spin it.

So do yourself a favor. Stop being ignorant. Now get outside and get some air, you're stinking up the place.

I'm not an active poster on Quake Live forums anymore, that is first of all. And second of all, I'd gladly take Ray back to PiP, where he can rage and flame Quake as much as he wants; I've been trying to do that unsuccessfully for over a year now. 2. no interest in ql and want it to die
3.a degree in trolls, haters and dweebos in speedos 101

i posted for the small percentage of people who care about quake live and want to change it for the better. Whoever you are, i suggest you stop hiding on anonymous and do something productive. Because stopping me from reporting cheaters, racists, stackers and tierslummers isn't going to help. Removing the players that abuse the game in the fashion i just described, will however. Less trash = More cash for id

But it's funny how you call me posting screenshots of racists, tierslummers and cheaters as rants when they are just screenshots. Any rants are adressed to the idiot troll responders usually not associated with my main points. So really, argue moar, but you can't say or do anything about the actual proof submitted.

Yes, I realize there is still a lot of room for improvement here and there, but fact is that right now you're by far the most annoying person, being called an idiot by 100+ people as you stated yourself above. You really think your way of "reporting cheaters" is of any help? Go report them--but this is not a support forum for QL, you need to call id Software support.

People here are interested in things like what CSI:QL team just did etc., catching cheaters who are hard to detect and playing on a high level. Your "reports" instead of random newbies blatantly using aimbots do not belong here. And because you are still not realizing this people call you an idiot.

Hi everyone, I see you finally tried to bring this to an end.Truth is, I would like to too. First off I would like to straight up say sorry. Believe it or not, I somewhat cannot help myself and I don't want to be racist. I've been told i'm probably the hardest rager on QL( doubt it's true). I've tried to stop raging a few times now but I just gave up because its fucking impossible. I have smashed my chair into pieces, I've smashed my $150 dollar headset into pieces, smashed my hand, ripped my home phone in half, ripped my mouse in half, have about 20 holes in my dry wall, my neighbors are getting sick of me yelling "FUCK" every few mins, and on top of that, i go fucking physco-chat on everyone (No ray, those aren't binds... trust me, I have alooot of typing practice from raging). It's complete stupidity, yes i know but I am such a fuck up at video games that I am the biggest dumb ass you will see. Just the competitiveness of quake just makes me go frickin' ballistic... ("your bad kroox, your fucking trash..." etc.) if something like that was said at the wrong time where I got killed or something I would punch my desk until i couldn't see my knuckles anymore. Your probably thinking... "Wow, this kid is fucking stupid" Answer: Yes... or "Why doesn't he just stop playing" Answer: Because I think the game is fun, its one of my hobbies. I probably wasted all my time writing this seeing how the whole quake community is trolls but I just wanted to get my point out there to the people trying to get me banned etc. Honestly, if I get banned by ip or something it will probably be the best for me. Thanks for reading.

you should read the toa of quake live more carefully. You are extremely ignorant. And it's a banneable offense on ql. Just ask stownr (a ql moderator). So you're 100% wrong if you think id doesn't have guidelines in place against it. They jsut aren't adhering to those policies anymore (case in point: kroox and av8r, although av8r is a special case on its own and nothing he does will ever get him banned on ql because of his close relationship with syncerror)

You're correct if your points on the toa are accurate. I have not read it nor do I really care to, I don't tend to make any racist comments in any derogatory manner towards anyone I'm playing in quake. However, if someone chooses to do so I really don't see any issue with it, and if anyone truly takes offense to anything said on the interwebs, much less quake live, then they need a rude reality check. Getting butthurt over something of this nature shows immaturity at its finest, and in a less likely case pure naivety .

fair enough. But nobody asked you to care. In fact it's not your job to care. It's id's job to care. They set the rating. They set the policy. They should be policing these events within the game, yet they're not, and that's my point. They allow racism to spread. Little things like this can get out of control quickly. Case in point (a few cheaters in february spreading to 100's by april) (tommeh getting a disciple in detlew ) (gragor getting a disciple in candyass). People mimick actions. Most likely kroox saw av8r's racist behavior over the past 2 years (they play on the same u.s ctf servers) and saw that id was doing nothing against it, so he started doing the same. That's the problem with not cracking down on this. They once policed the # of accounts people had too. That is no longer the case either. id just stopped caring all together, throwing in the towel if you will. That does not bode well for quake live's future.

You're correct, id has stopped caring about QL. Actually, they never did considering how their resources have been used. They really don't give a fuck about QL, it doesn't make them money, and they probably don't intend to care until it starts to (which it never will). That being said, I really don't see the point in bitching about what some 15 year old called you, this happened on a much broader scale all through previous quakes, this is nothing compared to what it used to be. Honestly, I'd be angry if they actually spent time trying to enforce a no-racism policy as opposed to countless other things that are incredibly more important and beneficial to the game and the community.

...and again, just because YOU don't care, doens't mean it's not a viable subject. This game is being catered to kids, if you want to know how young, just take a look at the young gamers club (something sync's kids are involved in: .404) Young kids should not be subjected to that kind of behavior.

If id wants to raise the rating again to something more indicative of the actual content in the game (holy sh1t comments) and readd hunter and some other scantily clad images, then that would work out too. Let me know which you prefer, i'd prefer the latter but syncerror wont' budge ...

That's Quake Live at this point. Noone cares as you say, so whenever someone like av8r says it in game, people just laugh, not thinking about the consequences.

And again, this isn't something i personally care about perse, but i do think it's a big enough issue for the reasons i mentioned (that he's the only one who has gotten away with it since closed beta simply because syncerror is friends with him).

Besides, as i've tried to explain to others. People do get banned for this behavior in the game. Ask stownr, he said, and i quote "its' a banneable offense" and was quick to point out that he would have been quickly banned in a game he was playing in...

So you're wrong if you think id doesn't follow through with it, that's the part you're not getting. They do, just not if av8r does it....

it's simple synceror is friends with a lot of the people creating problems in this game. Yet as manager or even associate producer, you can't be biased. Apparently in id this is accepted behavior for someone of that position?

3 in particular:(all us na ctf players, sync's favorite gametype)

incubus - tierslummer/teamkiller/teamstacker for the past 3 years
adrenal1ne - excessive teamkiller/stacker/slummer for the past 3 years
av8r - stacker, uses racist and homophobic binds every game for 3 years

he regularly used to played with them. I have a link of at least one of those games in my "the truth about incubus"thread but they removed the video to protect sync. It's even possible syncerror was in clan eq all along. Most of the people invited into quake live at start were from clan eq (i listed them in that same thread i just mentioned)

We already know incubus was given special permission by syncerror to have as many nicks as he wanted. Perhaps av8r and adrenal1ne have that luxury as well.

if todd hollenshead and marty stratton truly know about it then they are covering up for him as well, but i doubt they'd put their own reputations on the line on such a trivial issue. We'll find out when q5 is released and the person in charge as associate producer or community manager is named. If it's syncerror again well then all of id can truly be blamed once and for all.

sync: anytime you're ready to respond feel free to. You can't have it both ways though. Either mrgreen_ lied about his ban and you can affirm if he cheated or not; or you've overlooked av8r's actions. According to stownr "if i was in that game i would have banned him".. He also saw those screenshots and said he would relay it to you and that was over a month ago again now. I'm sure yo'ull give some kind of excuse as to why av8r isn't banned or you'll allow him to change his name and say he was banned, but it won't take away your bias to date. For once own up to your actions or in this case, lack thereof.

Racism is very prevaltent.

in fact i was just banned from the ql forums. for saying that crucci was visiting the united states on an alt, (even though he claimed he quit the game) and was calling me the N word repeatedly on a TX server then ragedquit cause i was owning him. Its pretty hypocritical for banning me from the forums for calling him out, but yet allow all the types of nasty stuff to go on in-game.

I'm sorry saying its up to people to report players is not an excuse. And whats crazy is ql was 10 times worse. So id really is doing all they can with this pos community.

i'm not black btw. but it still offends me.

and ql is getting bad when even crucci has quit the game for the same reasons everyone else does. the little cliques of t5 players that are pwning this game, and have pwned this game for years. the made a mockery of ID. Turned John Carmack into a clown and pissed all over them. And the guy is so angry and stubborn he won't admit or try to make any changes. SO fuck him and ID i hope they go out of business. HE birthed this community. I hope john failsmack is proud.

and yes. I do really believe most of the community and ID are teabagger republicans. therefore of course racist. also because of the fact they believe in less government (no regulation in quakelive, and are very selfish and arrogant. All brawn and no brains. thats why they prefer fps games. These idiots are voting for rick perry no doubt about it. I just hope that in the national election, people who only vote once a year, all the normal sane and intelligent and most of all cultured people, make sure that doesnt' happen.

yes the mods represent ID themselves. ID approves of all of this. If they ever really cared they would not allow people to join teams as the extra odd man, as one of the many examples of id not giving a shit.

and I just ahve to add. this community is like the cavemen or darkages compared to other games like LoL. Which is way more mature and civilized in general. I guess becuase you have to think more in those type of games. Its not just all reflexes and hand eye coordination Acutally thats not true at all. counterstrike is more about aim then quake.. so maybe its just because the small clique of players that made that game popular were just more friendly and sportlike.

and the people who started the quake playerbase, probably mostly ID employees, were also pieces of dogshit, selfish racist biggots who never believed in fair play. which is why the game instantly died when cs 1.6 came out.

So you got banned informing sync that crucci was harassing you in game using the n word? just unbelievable how backwards his policy is. Don't let them bring you down man. You did what you could to save this game, they chose not to listen, so its' their loss in the end.

Played != play. I played it quite a bit while I was in closed beta, and shortly after it came out, but I have not used the game to actually play in a long time - just for replays. I do not PLAY the game, but I follow the scene closely, watch matches on a regular basis, and I have been interested in supporting the game through news posts. Unlike Quake, Starcraft is already a huge spectator sport, and watching it can be just as fun as playing.

Oh, and that's not even my account. I only use the name Vedic on a few sites, and rarely in games. Though, it wouldn't matter if I did, since you don't understand the unique code system that attaches to any name - there are hundreds of "Vedic" names in SC2, but without knowing the unique player code, you can't identify the actual player.

It's not a Quake site, but it is one of the sites that feature Quake.

Homo's impact on "over population" is negligible.
"Over population" is something that can be solved without reducing the number of humans alive at a given time.
Even if everyone was homosexual, the ability to reproduce still exists, so an all homosexual society would still procreate.

either way, kroox was banned for like 3 days and then unbanned... i don't think id really knows what to do in regards to racism despite their policy against it. based on what iv'e seen, everything they (ordus) does, is based on the number of complaints filed on a certain person. The more complaints the more severe the ban.
