The story might not have been quite as good (I wouldn't go as far as half), but the execution was far better. I haven't played the Arrival DLC yet, but if ME3 is more of what we saw in the Shadow Broker DLC, it should be pretty amazing.

Yeah the execution among other things was better but somehow I didn't enjoy that much and had to force myself to finish it. Maybe I care a lot more about the plot than I think I do, not too sure.
Perhaps it was purely a matter of mindset and the fact that I had paid a silly amount for one of the most ridiculous collector editions I have ever seen (that you can't even sell once you've used the cd key obviously)

Apart from the ending that I found to be quite frankly horrible and the weird ammo system I can hardly pinpoint what bothered me exactly (well, scanning the planets bored me to death as well, I actually didn't mind that much the repetitive mako bits in the first one).

If you imported your save from ME1, you should have gotten more than enough starting resources to last most of the game - you shouldn't need to scan for anything unless you were trying to get every upgrade in the game ever. =P

Yes I did import my save but I tried to get absolutely all the upgrades (probably gave up at some point though, don't remember)

Street Fighter x Tekken looks weird and easy mode, but interesting and fun at the same time

Street Fighter 3 Online Edition stole the show for me: GGPO netcode, upload replays straight to YouTube, 8 player lobbies with spectating, combo/parry training and challenges, button config in character select screen, replays sharing etc.
can't believe Capcom finally gets it just right, a complete package for $15. godlike!
