I didn't want to take the chance on getting an old abyssus so I landed up getting a deathadder, but my next mouse will be an abyssus again. Just feels so good.

You can scroll up, scroll down and click the mouse wheel, and you can bind your right click (if it's a weapon) to zoom.

I mainly use them for browsing forward/back, in QL i use them for smileys :)

I heard bad things about it (accel? prediction?), please correct me if I'm wrong.

it has mouse4/5, i bound smileys in quake there
it supports 500/1000hz usb without drivers
it lets you choose dpi through profiles
it does not have prediction, you can turn it on with the driver
it has onboard memory

- little heavy
- the sensor starts adding a bit of accel when you hit speeds over 1 m/s, don't have that problem
- some people say it doesn't work that well on some mousepads, don't have that problem
- shape is an indiviual thing, although it's pretty much a standard case, not an alien spaceship shaped gaming device
- it loves to collect dust, i keep my gaming place clean

edit: out of the box, no drivers: 450/900dpi on the switch, 500hz usb, no prediction

when you buy this mouse you get runes that nobody else can acquire? lmao@lol

It's mostly important to get this version because it has no jitter issues.

that mouse should come with a LoL skin instead of 2 useless runes. Just my 2 cents.
edit: you can buy those runes with in-game money. Crit. dmg is useless and movement speed is more or less a basic rune so everyone should had it before buying the mouse, therefore it's useless.

also so far I owned 2 regular abyssus. The first one worked flawlessly in my qck heavy mousepad, until the sensor started experiencing some small jitter problems every 5 minutes or so (yep, razer build quality) so I returned it and now I'm using its replacement. This second regular abyssus has 0 problems so far, and I have 13 days left of warranty lol.

some rat should be fine instead of a mouse... it's roughly more than 400 dpi, OEM, has no accel if you don't have shit and trash laying around in your apartment, also no smooth tracking if you have it in a cage

If I could test it before buying sure, otherwise I wouldn't risk ordering it.

shape is the best thing going for it, imo. I played with one just prior to release thanks to Quakecon'07 vendor booth, and honestly, it's the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. This is coming from an IE3.0 user.
At the time my complaint was the high'ish liftoff tracking distance, but as this was still beta, this issue may have been addressed by now.

I've had mice with b4/b5 for like 8 years now and I've never ever used them, except to drop guns and +chat. I'm actually pissed when my browser goes back cause it takes me a few seconds to understand I hit that useless moving piece of plastic on the side of my 3.0.
