Ambidextrous Mouse? (34 comments)

I am planning to get an ambidextrous mouse to replace my 3.0. I have considered the following:

WMO - Non-existent in my country. Can't be bothered shipping it from international sites
1.1 - Tried it, side buttons felt jelly-ish and slips off my hands
Xai - Too expensive & buggy
Kinzu - Heard lots of negative things about it but i've never tried one personally
Krait - No problems from this mouse afaik
Salmosa - Squeaky clicks and shiny sides
Abyssus - Only works on the goliathus speed and shiny sides

I am interested in the G1 at the moment since it has a decent shape and the scroll wheel feels x10 better than the 3.0's. I'm not sure about the Krait since it doesn't seem to have any problems aside from the fact it is made by Razer.

Thoughts?

Really, i would have gotten the WMO a very long time ago if it wasn't hard to find in my country. The MS distributors here seem to bring in only the 3.0 and newer models of the MS mice (bluetrack shit n stuff). Even those doing private imports from US are not willing to pay for the shipping to my country as it is even more expensive than the cost of the mouse itself. Unless i travel to the US or somewhere else that still sells the WMO, it is highly unlikely that i will be getting it :(

did you search in every website?
it's a mouse for office use so it should be available somewhere

also give a second chance to the abyssus. Its sides are not an issue and it works with qck mass and heavy mousepads as well

My Abyssus works great on cloth pads. It's the best mouse I have ever used. It's so good I actually got rid of my wmo, which i never thought would happen

Ever tought of Razer Diamond Back? It's a pretty good mouse and not that expencive.

Apart from that I would suggest eighter Krait or Abysus.

The Krait is really a great mouse.

The only negatives are :

Need to replace the stock feet because they scratch.

Has prediction (care)

Pretty hard to find nowadays outside Korea. Build quality on the Korean models isn't amazing sometimes (scroll wheel seems to break if you aren't extra careful with it)

Pros :

Great shape

Great sensor

What more do you want?

Honestly, i don't mind the shiny sides this time because the sides are \___/ - shaped but it's the jittery tracking that i'm worried about.

I put on some vinyl tape to it, which feels alot better now.

afaik Abyssus only works on plastic pads. it jitters on cloth pads

try looking for shipping forwarder services in your location.

in my experience, I needed to order the Best Mouse Ever (WMO 1.1) from Amazon since is not available here in the Philippines. the forwarding service here has a U.S. address (NY) where the shipment can be sent. they then will forward the package here in the Philippines. i payed minimal charges compared to when it's shipped directly from U.S. to here. maybe there are similar forwarding service in your country. gl.
