edit : Actually, the main problem is that the guy who made the vid mistakes "fragmovie" for "premature ejaculation". So fast you can't really notice anything yet messy as you get splattered with unnecessary visual effects.

Now that was awful music. Liked the rest though.

Cypher is one of the most artistic, smart and creative player:
Take 30 random demos of cypher in good shape and you will get enough stuff to make a movie two times better (and also longer, if that matter something) than that crap.
Better don't talk about the montege..... probably only cypher himself can understand something in that confusing fast overdose......
and here enter in action the music... independently from the liking of someone, that music doesn't work well for a fragmovie, surely not to make an entire movie on it.... i've seen fragmovies based on classic music that worked 10 times better than ..... this.....rapcore.... noise.....

Pretty good, the frags are top quality, its just that i hate seeing the frag from the opponent pov or following the rocket instead of seeing it from cypher pov. It takes me out of the action and looks less impressive.

I'm still waiting for Zeroql cypher movie. He's my fav movie maker, besides entik.

just stringing together a couple of crazy frag shots in some zappy editing doesn't do him justice
even more so when the credit sections account for about 1/4 of the whole movie

No. A good cypher movie would provide scene context, as to properly catch some of that creativity avek has been talking about at dh. And focus on his pov, for less spectacle and more delight.

Blood and gibs have always been an element of quake and I dont care (most of the players and their parents probably too) about your teen rating. Even with blood/gibs quake still would a much more less drastic game comparing to the other titles where you can cut off heads, hands, legs, torture etc.

Really enjoyed the video but I think a lot of frags became less impressive due to the editing. The majority of Cypher's frags look best at his POV and don't need a slow-motion or 3rd person view.

1:17 - Context of frag makes this more impressive imo. Stermy was just starting a comeback (had just done a shit ton of damage on Cypher at mega) and had left Cypher with 11hp before going through the tele. Cypher decides to go for that rail instead of going for the 50hp bubble or the two 25hp bubbles. I believe the slowdown of the frag makes it appear less impressive than it really was.

1:27 - Again context of frag makes this more impressive. Stermy was in control and was surely going to get a frag he needed on Cypher by trapping him at the jumppad. Cypher denies him though and regains control.

1:44 - Context. Stermy again was in control and Cypher's plasma frag gets him control (iirc).

2:45 - This rail was really impressive but the slow-motion and 3rd person view while Cypher is running towards the RL makes it appear much less impressive.

I realize the slow-motion parts were to sync the shots with the music but I feel it should never lower the quality of the frag itself.

Do you know/have the link to the demo or vod? Or do you know tournament (and game) it was? So I can look for it myself...

Did not like. Frags where not so impressive in this context. The lg frag was awesome, but that is about it. Editing was very poor, why slow mo a rail shot or switch between POV's?!??!?!?! And this would also be the first time I will complain about the music!

I watched this movie, realized I didn't have CPMA Done By Vo0 on my computer, and downloaded and watched that instead.

I see you've been listening to my advice, switching slowmo to fastforward ALL THE TIME. music is great, could be better but it's close enough to limp bizkit so it's cool.

I thought it was really good, and the editing fit nicely. The song sucked, yes, but somehow it still seemed to fit perfectly with the vibe of the movie.

it's a bit sad to see editors like zeroql, titan, power3, hell5pawn and domino (edit: and entik, tc2 must have taken forever) put in shit loads of hard work on their projects and this gets x thousand views overnight just because it features cypher.
this looks like a two day project which is a shame because most if not all of the frags really are sick.
