Today we unveil the trailer for 4Kings: Path of Kings.

4Kings: Path of Kings is a full production Frag Movie Presented by 4Kings Productions. Path of Kings follows the success of the 4Kings Quake Live team through the 2009 and 2010 period, in which they grew from being a 'challenger' to the top of Europe. i know this is a preference but the blue/red sarge models are imho really ugly and not even good to see
furthermore there seems to be no lightning and shadows and in combination with high res textures that looks stupid. overall it has a very crisp look that i dont really dig, i prefer smooth visuals with some discreet color correction (not really a cfg thing though)

i liked the blurr effects but using picmip 0 and no light map is just wrong. the lighting makes the atmosphere, also might wanna consider sneaking some bloom into this.

cool music and really nice overall teaser - cfg is just not optimal.

i'm pretty sure he used lightmap, the lightning (still) looks different in wolfcam though. not much you can do until the author adds more stuff.

Really nice, great effects, looking forward to it!

Improve the ingame gfx quality though, Campgrounds looked like it was using vertex lighting.

I still think WITHOUT in game sound vidoes would be much cooler
i mean we kknow how in game sounds is..

so the begijing of the trainler you can total focus on the music an the frags

than with the in game sound it just sucks :D

With those 3 frag sequences, plus 3 minutes long intro, 2 minutes long outro I could probably manage to put together a ~6 minute vid.. well.. maybe if I'd put a lot of slow motion / many recams from diff angles I could probably get to 8-9 minutes.

Config didn't bother me that much, but music... jesus fuck.
Vocals are annoying to the max, thank God it's only 1 minute long.

I may be biased because I prefer fragmovies that feature songs without lyrics ( especially silly ones and/or off-key screaming ).

The config does make the maps look bland or something. :c

I would suggest using more trip-hop, idm, dnb (etc.) types of music, I think those fit fragmovies best. Preferably no vocals.

Watch the contenders 2 and try not to make worse quality. This trailer does not look promising. Cheesy and boring editing, fps feels really really low (downloaded the best quality version, watched with q9400) and frags seem to be too ordinary. If you can't do better than this you should reconsider the movie project.

Damn, people be hatin'. I thought it was pretty interesting. Some of the editing was really great (death animation guy flying through wall as it's breaking apart was great).

Only thing I can find a significant problem with is the music (horrific music). But music is just a matter of taste. I think overall the editing is quality. Frags were 'meh', but this is only a trailer so I imagine all the premiere stuff is going to be in the actual vid.
