I think both Syncerror and TTimo already said that Method is working on Rage

2. What are the main reasons developers can not instantly port maps to Quake Live?

they didn't, q3wctf1-3 are owned by id software

considering this is the 502052962 (approx) thread asking for answers about those things, the chances are kinda slim that you get any official ones

Wait, id has rights to w3 and they haven't ported it? As painful as it was trying to get through middle on that map, it was pretty decent.

it's funny. so many people spend so much of their time waiting for maps. yet in quake3 they would play the same maps over and over again. even if there were 1000s of other maps

quakelive is a BROWSERgame that installs as a PLUGIN.
and it already has over 30 maps. Please go back to QUake3 if you want to play custommaps

The maps people were playing over and over again were fun. No one wants to play ctf3.

Direction is hard to find in this project :( and IF there is a direction just think about what would be good for this project and go in the opposite direction.. you will find ID there somewhere..
