Well G9 with smaller coarse grip is the only currently available mouse I like. I couldnt find anything with better shape as far as my wrist and finger style is considered.
It is not perfect, grip could be better fitted to mouse (large one actualy fits better, but I dont like it), feet layout is not so good, left button broke in less than year (never happened before), and side buttons are mounted high (while for some this could be a matter of preference, I consider such as inferior to low mounts).

It is that they are very wide but short. At first I had feeling that because of this it moves bit differenty in X and Y (Y had more resistance). I dont feel that right now, maybe Im already used to it or wear out actualy helped.

i got the plain g9 for $25, probably cheap to make way for the g9x. i'm sure the sensor is crap but i switch to high sens anyway. coarse grip is great.

It doesn't skip? I've been waiting so long for a laser mouse that doesn't. What's the shape like? Best shape for me so far is the Ikari Optical.

well it comes with a few different shapes one of them is kind of similar to the ikari if ur left handed im lovin the shape. And Im a low sensi user and I have not had any skips or anything AT ALL.

dont know, never got the g9. If you're saying they are crappy because you don't like them, then maybe so, but I like them.

Then you probably play more with your arm and you wont like G9. Still I have used G9, Reaper Edge, X750BF, and shortly G3 and G5, all of them laser and neither of them skipped on my Giganta. However Im not low sensitivity player so I cant say this wont happen during very fast movement.

Out of mentioned, Reaper Edge is the best looking mouse I ever had. I tried it cause of side buttons and rubber side grip, but it turned out that despite being based on MX500 shape it forces me to use my arm too much, and so I couldnt use it effectively. The other thing is impossibly stiff cable. When it touches anything it will put a considerable ammount of resistance on mouse, so unless you have a lot of empty space for it, it will make you swear.
